Pat Gudauskas grew up in San Clemente alongside his brothers Dane and Tanner, surrounded by one of the most influential surf communities in the world. What started as three kids walking to the beach from Riviera eventually became a life of professional surfing, world travel, major waves, lifelong friendships, and more than two decades inside surf culture.
Pat sits down with Jeff Moore and Brian de la Puente to talk about growing up in San Clemente, competing with his brothers, learning the unwritten rules of Hawaii and Pipeline, his years with Vans, the mindset required to survive professional surfing, and why earning respect has always mattered more than entitlement.
They also get into Positive Vibe Warriors, the board drives that sent hundreds of surfboards to communities around the world, the return of their local kids event, and Pat’s next chapter building Abyss alongside his wife Hanalei.
At its core, this is a conversation about family, gratitude, resilience, community, and passing the culture forward.
