This week on Regional Rasslin' we return to May 18th - 24th of 1985 in the Memphis territory! Talking Jerry Lawler vs. Bruiser Brody (No Referee in the ring!), the PYT Express vs. Jerry Jarrett & Tojo Yamamoto, the Fabs prepare to defend their Tag Titles vs. Kareem Muhammad and a mystery man, Jerry Oski looks to regain the Southern Title from "Macho Man" Randy Savage, a Jackie Fargo talk show(?), the match that never ends sees Lanny Poffo face Oski on TV, localized promos from Waverly TN, & more. Plus, Kareem Muhammad takes over the "Jerry Lawler Show" and cuts a promo that is a chaotic mix of comedic delivery and at other times uncomfortable, racially charged language (a vivid snapshot of both the entertainment and the ignorance that often shared the stage in decades gone by).

What is Regional Rasslin' - Territory Talk?

Before the national expansion of Pro Wrestling the business was split into many different regional promotions referred to as "the territories". Each territory competed within their own regional boundaries with unqiue wrestling stars, championship belts, and local TV. We talk the good old days from the territory era, from the AWA to JCP, New York to Los Angeles, Memphis to Mid-South, Portland to Florida, Stampede to Maple Leaf, Houston to Dallas, well... you get the point!
