- Fireworks, even those labeled "Safe and Sane," are not allowed in Nevada County but there will be a free Fireworks Show at 9:30 p.m. on the 4th of July in Grass Valley.
- Nevada County Connects is offering free fares on all routes July 2nd and 4th in conjunction with the High Sierra Music Festival and in celebration of the 4th of July holiday. There is no service July 3rd though it will be the first day of Nevada County's River Shuttle. The shuttle will run every weekend until September 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
