Tri Talking Sport

Daire Feeley is a former professional cyclist from Roscommon. The 24 year old has been on a roller coaster of a ride in cycling from a young age. Embarking on his professional career in the sport in his late teens, he climbed the ranks, earning hard-fought places on teams and has raced all over Ireland, Europe, America, Asia and in European and World Championship level races with Ireland.

Spending a number of years abroad chasing his cycling dreams he returned to Ireland last year having made the decision to retire as a professional athlete. The now, former professional cyclist and a member of the Irish National cycling team is currently the number one ranked category 1 racing cyclist in Ireland, on the back of a super run of racing last season, winning 9 races in 2020. 
 
In this episode, Daire candidly chats about the highs and lows of life on the road. The impact and importance of your environment and its effect on your physical and mental wellbeing. Returning home to Roscommon in 2020 Daire is now flourishing as a rider and is enjoying his role as a coach. He has gained much as the recipient of a hoard of advice from mentors and his support circle over the years that giving back to the sport and connecting with people as a coach is something he is embracing at full speed.
