In this Bite Size from episode #45 Andrew and Dr Tom Buckley discuss some of the research around the use of cold water and its potential effects on the body. Dr Tom talks about how cold water therapy is still in its research infancy and doesn’t have any conclusive evidence proving or disproving its validity at this point in time.
Dr Tom and Andrew also explain a bit about why using animals in research can be deeply flawed if you expect to get the same results in humans, as well as giving a little bit of their knowledge on brown fat vs white fat and the effects cold water can have in relation to it.
