Daniel T. Willingham, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia, a researcher with a PhD in cognitive psychology from Harvard University, author and a father of four.

In 2017, Professor Willingham was tapped to serve on the National Board for Education Sciences, by then-US President Barack Obama.

Professor Willingham’s latest book is called Outsmart Your Brain: Why Learning is Hard, and How You Can Make it Easy.
