Summary

It's finally here. Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Show Notes

It's finally here. Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Almost a year has passed since the guys discussed their thoughts on the first teaser trailer here on PrePost and expectations are high. Can a new Star Wars film possibly live up to expectations? Matt has abstained from all further marketing in an attempt to keep spoiler free, while Jon has indulged and seen all of the trailers. Who's expectations will be most in line with the final film?

With no "Episode VII" subtitle in sight and a host of new characters, is JJ Abrams trying to soft re-boot Star Wars just as he did for Star Trek? Or will this be a masterful continuation of the Skywalker story? Matt and Jon both rush to (2D!) midnight screenings to find out.

Join Matt & Jon as they discuss their expectations for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Then - after the film has been released - they return to discuss the feature itself.

What is The PrePost Film Review?

In each episode of The PrePost Film Review hosts Jon Asquith and Matt Stephenson discuss a film over two distinct periods.

First - brief, spoiler free impressions of a trailer upon its release. Followed by a spoiler-filled review recorded months later once the film hits cinemas.

A thoughtful and occasionally funny look at how trailers represent films.
