The Visibility Podcast

This episode is a first! I”m so excited to have my first client guest on the podcast. And as any teacher worth their salt will say, we always learn from our students. I love the nuggets that Rachel shared in this episode especially about learning from others. From mama-ing her four kiddos to diving in and learning from all walks of life. Rachel is a genuine lady who makes who laugh and feel like a million. She’s a photographer, mama, wife and keeps it real with her messy bun and coffee in hand. My kinda of lady. I think you’ll enjoy this gem of a person!

Show Notes

Rachel Gaetz is a Twin Cities portrait photographer who is based out of Hudson, WI. Her business Ray & Grace Photography specializes in family portraits, wedding photography, and boudoir photography. She thrives on creating candid, joyful imagery and prides herself on conducting her sessions in a way that's fast, fun, and actually enjoyable.

Rachel is originally from Oak Lawn, IL and moved to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota. She earned a degree in journalism and also found herself a husband while in college. Shortly after getting married and becoming a mom to her first daughter Cecelia, she started a blog documenting her little family's life. That blog eventually spurred a successful photography business and her family grew to include four kids.

On any given day, she has a coffee in hand, a baby on her hip, and a big messy bun on her head... after all there's work to be done and a big, beautiful life to enjoy. When not photographing clients, she enjoys reading, cooking dancing, pretending to be a home design expert, and wine and coffee of course (not mixed together).

What is The Visibility Podcast?

The Visibility Podcast is for studio owners who are ready to build a business that works: without working themselves into the ground.

Hosted by dance studio owner, business strategist, and life coach Melissa Rose, this podcast goes beyond simply getting more students through the door. We talk marketing and visibility, of course. But we also talk pricing, profitability, leadership, team building, decision-making, boundaries, and what it really takes to grow a studio that supports the life you want to live.

Because the problem you "think" you have isn’t always the real problem.

With nearly two decades of studio ownership and strategies rooted in a proven framework, Melissa brings real-world experience, practical business strategy, and honest conversations about the very human side of entrepreneurship.

You built your studio because you love what you do. Now let’s make sure the business you built works for you, too.

More clarity. Better decisions. A stronger studio.
