Beyond Desire

The teaching of Jesus is explosive. It messes with our perceptions of the way we think things should be. Author and teacher N.T. Wright writes that the teaching of Jesus can look strange to us because Jesus "is unveiling a whole new way of being human".

Our scripture this week is Matthew 5:27-30. Jesus teaches on the connection between our sexual desires and faithfulness in our relationships.

What is The Gathering: Weekly Teaching Time?

We desire to provide a space for people who are disconnected from the church and have an interest in exploring who Jesus is and what it might mean to follow Him. We aspire to be authentic about who we are so that we can grow into a genuine faith. Being real is more important than being perfect.
