Blair beekeeper Tony Damme takes listeners through his hive setup and describes his passion for bees. Damme has faced various challenges throughout the years, such as trying to help his bees survive the winter. Luke Norris, a technician in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Bee Lab, sheds a light on state-wide threats to bees and their role in agriculture.

Host Ramey Vachal visits Tony Damme at his home in Blair, where he monitors and maintains a handful of beehives. Damme has been beekeeping with his father since he was fourteen and continues to sell honey to this day. He describes his fascination with bees and the most important tips he's learned throughout the years. Additionally, Bee Lab technician Luke Norris explains the key role bees play in Nebraska's ecosystem and the various threats they face.
