Are you ready for the invasion? Millions and millions of the 17-year Brood X cicadas are spending their last few weeks underground before they return to the surface and into the trees. Just like in 2004, when they rise, you'll hear the deafening sound of their mating call as they look for a partner to lay eggs before descending back below the surface. Dr. Gene Kritsky of Mount St. Joseph's University joins the podcast to talk all things cicada.
