Talk About It-DAIT Podcast

Addiction and substance abuse are happening within our community. Loved ones, friends and neighbors are all being impacted by it. And yet, is it a problem not everyone wants to talk about.
But, when we ignore the problem, it doesn’t go away. In fact, it can grow. It’s up to us all to talk about it and do something about it – it’s the only way we begin to heal, recover and create a healthier future for everyone.

Guest: Addie Caldwell, Director of Wellness Programs for the Maehnowesekiyah Wellness Center, and co-chair for the MITW Drug Addiction Intervention Team

What is Talk About It-DAIT Podcast?

No community is immune to the dangers of substance use and addiction. Within the Menominee Tribe, we’ve all seen the impacts firsthand. That’s why we need to Talk About It as we join together to bring this problem out in the open.
In a series of podcasts, we will focus on education, highlight resources that are available, talk about initiatives underway to deal with this public health threat and smash stereotypes that we all have about addiction.

The Talk About It podcast is an initiative of the Menominee Indian Drug Addiction and Intervention Team.
