Our sages teach, “Do not be like servants who serve their master for the sake of receiving a reward, rather, be like servants who serve their master not for the sake of receiving a reward” (Avot 1:3).

Think about it.  Are we only doing good deeds for the accolades? Or are we acting selflessly, driven by pure intentions? Let’s strive for the latter.
