Reading 1 Samuel Chapter 4

Israel is defeated in battle by the Philistines, so decide to get the ark and take it into battle with them. This makes the Philistines very afraid, but they slaughter 30,000 of Israel and capture the ark. When Eli hears the details of the battle, he falls and dies. Read from the World English Bible.
