असमे चक्रधरसिंहस्य शासने लाचितवराफुकनः सेनापतिः आसीत् । दिल्लीनगरस्थः औरङ्गजेबः असमस्य वशीकरणं लक्ष्यीकृतवान् । लाचितः गुवाहाटीसमीपे दुर्गस्य निर्माणस्य आदेशं दत्तवान् । सः सर्वदा सैनिकान् प्रेरयति स्म । ज्वरपीडितः अपि लाचितः औरङ्गजेबस्य सेनापतिं रामसिंहं पराजितवान् इत्यतः तस्य शौर्यं सर्वे सादरं स्मरन्ति ।
