चोराय उपाहारः

कदाचित् रात्रौ साबरमतिस्थस्य आश्रमस्य पाकमन्दिरं प्रविष्टवन्तं चोरम् आश्रमवासिनः गृहीतवन्तः । अग्रिमदिवसे प्रात:काले यदा गान्धिवर्यस्य पुरतः सः चोरः उपस्थापितः, तदा तस्मै चोराय प्रथमम् उपाहारं दत्त्वा अनन्तरं मत्समीपे आनेतव्यः इति अवदत् गान्धिवर्यः । अनन्तरं गान्धिवर्येण सुमधुराणि हितवचनानि चोराय उक्तानि । तस्मिन् एव आश्रमे कार्यम् अपि दास्यामि इत्यवदत् । गान्धिवर्यस्य वचनानि श्रुत्वा द्रवीभूतान्तःकरणः सः चोरः गान्धिवर्यस्य पादौ गृह्णन् अश्रूणि स्रावितवान् । ततः सः आश्रमे एव निवसन् सर्वाणि कार्याणि श्रद्धया कुर्वन् उत्तमं जीवनं यापयन् साधुजनः अभवत् ।

One night, a thief entered the kitchen of the Sabarmati Ashram and was caught by the ashram residents. The residents of the ashram caught him and brought him before Gandhiji the next morning. Gandhiji told the residents to bring him after offering breakfast. Later, Gandhiji's compassionate and kind words transformed the thief, turning him into a dedicated and sincere individual. He was also offered a job in the Ashram. He sincerely performed all duties and led a good life.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
