This past Sunday, Pastor Jeremiah Niengor preached a message entitled "Faith that Worships." Pastor Jeremiah explored the faith of Abel, whose offering to God reflected a heart of genuine submission and worship. He reminded us that we can’t accomplish the mission without addressing our motives, and that sometimes our response to correction reveals what our worship has been hiding. Faithful worship and faithful love cannot be separated, and when faith is lived out faithfully, it becomes a testimony that outlives us. Abel’s faith still speaks today, reminding us that worship is a way of gladly reflecting back to God the radiance of His worth.

⭑ A better offering?
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. Genesis 4:2-5
You can’t accomplish the mission without addressing the motives.

By, Faith, Abel is commended righteous. Sometimes our response to correction reveals what our worship has been hiding.
“Sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” Genesis 4:7
