न नीयते सूची अपि

लाहोरनगरे पूर्वं दुलीचन्दः नाम कोट्यधिपतिः धनिकः निवसति स्म । कदाचित् दर्शनार्थं आगतवन्तं दुलीचन्दं दृष्ट्वा गुरुनानकः अवगतवान् यत् एतस्य धनमदः अधिकः अस्ति इति । अतः सः एकां सूचीं दुलीचन्दाय दत्त्वा अग्रिमजन्मनि प्रत्यर्पणीया इति अवदत् । किञ्चित्कालानन्तरं दुलीचन्दः अवदत् यत् कथं सूचीम् अग्रिमजन्मनि प्रत्यर्पयितुं शक्यते इति । तदा गुरुनानकः अवदत् 'मरणसमये येन एका सूची अपि नेतुम् अशक्या, भवान् स्वस्य समग्रां सम्पत्तिं किं नेतुं शक्नुयात्?’ इति ।  एतेन ज्ञानोदयं प्राप्य दुलीचन्दः स्वस्य सम्पत्तेः दानम् आरब्धवान् ।  गुरुनानकस्य परमभक्तः जातः च ।

In Lahore, the wealthy Duli Chand visited Guru Nanak, who immediately sensed his arrogance. To teach him a lesson, the Guru gave him a needle, saying it must be returned in his next life. Confused, Duli Chand asked how that was possible. Guru Nanak responded, "If you can't take even a needle with you after death, how can you carry your wealth?". Realizing the truth, Duli Chand began donating his riches and became a devoted disciple.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
