00:03 Julia Hey, Kieran, what's up? 00:04 Kieran Julia, did you hear what they said? 00:06 Julia No. What did they say? 00:08 Kieran Oh, my gosh. I have to tell you right now. Meet me in the studio in five minutes. 00:12 Julia Okay, I'm on my way. I'll see you soon. Welcome back to that's what they Said, an educationally conversational podcast where we address all the things that aren't in the college brochure. 00:32 Kieran Hey, guys. 00:33 Julia Hey. Feeling vulnerable, feeling exposed. 00:37 Kieran Feeling. Feeling really loud in my microphone. 00:39 Julia I'm also feeling really loud. This must be what we sound like. 00:42 Kieran To you guys in case. 00:43 Julia Wow. Turning down my. 00:45 Kieran I'm going in with the. In case this doesn't work. And we're just gonna be posting the audio file. We are currently in the process of trying to start with the video equipment. 00:56 Julia And it's scary because I don't know if I'm supposed to be looking at the camera or at each other. 01:03 Kieran I also still feel like I'm so loud. 01:05 Julia No, I. I turn myself all the way down. But I think this will make it easier for me when I'm editing because I usually have to turn our voices up. 01:11 Kieran Up. Probably because we've been filming the audio too low this whole time. 01:15 Julia Right. 01:15 Kieran Yeah. Anyway, anyhow, I'm gonna have to start telling stories to Julia looking at a camera, and I'm not particularly sure how. 01:22 Julia I feel about that. Kieran, who is looking at a camera, like, I'm like, situation. 01:28 Kieran I also can't see what I look like, and I'm pretty sure I'm inverted, which is really sending me. And I'm really upset about it, but see if I care. 01:33 Julia Well, every. I'm, like, trying really hard to not give you a side profile shot because that's not something that I want on the Internet. 01:38 Kieran I know, like, I'm having to look forward, but, like, I'm gonna side eye Julia to look at her because I need to mog. 01:43 Julia Let me just smog the whole time for like, an hour and 15 minutes. Like. 01:49 Kieran You'Re just so, like, nonchalantly. 01:51 Julia No, like, this is what I look like all the time. 01:52 Kieran You guys are gonna see me consistently shift around because I literally spit in this chair the whole time. 01:57 Julia This is true. I usually sit with my. My. My legs up, like, up here, down here. 02:02 Kieran Yeah. 02:03 Julia But I'll be trying to slay for y' all because I just. I just want to be pretty for y'. All. That's all I want. That's not true. 02:11 Kieran So on that note, episode three, we are broke off. And that's what they Always say, still feels so loud. Well, is it getting, like, fuzzy for you when I speak? 02:23 Julia I think, don't be so close to the mic. Oh, hey. Oh, me when I go, hey, guys, this is what it's like to you. And I go limb. Come to work with us. 02:31 Kieran Come with me. Okay. Anyhow, it actually does not matter at all. But the point is, today we're gonna be talking about how broke we are. 02:38 Julia Yes. Financial tips and tricks of which we don't have. Seeing that we are broke. 02:43 Kieran Right? So to start us off, high, low, buffalo. Hit me with it. 02:48 Julia Okay. 02:49 Kieran Except I'm gonna pretend that I'm looking at you. 02:50 Julia Okay. And I'll pretend that I'm looking at you, but I'm actually looking directly in the camera. My. Let me think. My high, I think, was my contra dance that was on Saturday. 03:02 Kieran I just looked over at you, and. 03:03 Julia You'Re like, I'm literally staring into the camera because I cannot let a bad shot of me taken. 03:10 Kieran This is. Okay. Lock in, lock in. 03:12 Julia I'm locked in. My highs. My contra dance on Saturday, it was really fun. And all my friends came, and, like. 03:22 Kieran We had a good turnout. 03:23 Julia We did. The band was really good. Linda, my queen, she was something else. 03:33 Kieran She really got me. 03:33 Julia She. 03:34 Kieran She got me good. 03:34 Julia I think I. I was telling Kieran this. I was in the bathroom before all the dancers came, brushing my teeth, as one does, right? And Linda, my queen, walks in while my mouth is full. Like, I'm brushing my. Okay, that was a little crazy. I'm brushing my teeth. I'm brushing my teeth. Like, mouth full of, like, stuff. And queen walks up and starts a conversation about, like, so how do you feel? Like, about this? And, like, what if I did that? And, like, what are we expecting? And, like, how many dancers and what dances do you want me to call? And I was like, girl, this is, like, not the time. 04:02 Kieran Like. 04:05 Julia I've been out there with you for, like, an hour already. Why are we having this conversation in the bathroom? And then she was like, so, like, what year are you? What are you studying? And I was like, girl, now is not the time. Like, and also, all those people be asking me, like, all the old people were in the middle of dancing. They're like, so what are you studying here at State? And I'm like, I can't breathe. 04:23 Kieran Not the networking mid dance, right? 04:25 Julia Like, this is not, like, no. And because my, like, major in choice of study takes me, like, a second to get out. Like, it's like a long statement, you know? 04:33 Kieran Yeah. 04:33 Julia So anyway, my highways, my contradictions were fun. Also, I went to a party Sunday night with my PCM friends, and it was a pajama party and it was really fun. That eats. And there was a cat on the way out, so that was. 04:48 Kieran Oh, yes, Mango. Is that the cat's name? Yes. 04:50 Julia He was very nasty. My low is I had a sty for the past few days. 05:01 Kieran Oh, yes, I do remember seeing her. 05:03 Julia But she's on her way out, so. 05:05 Kieran She's seeing her way out. 05:05 Julia I. Right. This is an ab conversation. She needs to see her way out. I was concerned seeing as we are recording with video. I was like, if I have to record the first video episode and my eye is swollen, that's going to be a problem for me. But that did not occur. So we're chilling. 05:20 Kieran So here I woke up with these two random pimples on my chin, and it looks like a colon. I was like. 05:24 Julia I like, okay. 05:25 Kieran I was like, okay, dot, dot. Like, what are we doing? Like, you're like, oh, sorry, I can't talk. 05:37 Julia Sorry. It's like. It's like just side profile shots the entire time. Absolutely not. You will never see that. Anyway. Buffalo. Yeah, let me think. Actually, can you do your high low and I'll ruminate on what my buffalo is. 05:51 Kieran Sure. 05:51 Julia Okay. 05:52 Kieran My low is that. Sorry, it scares me. I keep forgetting it's there. I'm so used to filming a certain way that I'm just really staring at it. The mic. That is, some would say, some might suggest. 06:08 Julia Right. 06:09 Kieran What happened this weekend? Oh, my low. Oh, my God. Okay, so it's probably a low more than it is. Just like, it wasn't a high. Like, it was supposed to be. 06:16 Julia Yeah, real. 06:17 Kieran Actually. No, let me change it. My low is that I've been so exhausted recently. 06:21 Julia Like, literally week one, and I'm like. 06:23 Kieran I don't know why. I mean, the first two weeks of, like, starting a new semester always gets me good. 06:28 Julia I agree. 06:28 Kieran But it's really been getting me good. Like, I have not been sleeping as much as I need to be, but that's, like, not even, like, by choice. Like, I'm not, like, necessarily doing anything. I just like, no, it's not sleeping great. And I'm so exhausted. Like, I walked in to Go see Julie today. And usually I'm like, hey. And I watched it and I was like. 06:44 Julia We just sat in silence for like five minutes. 06:47 Kieran I just deadpanned like I. There was nothing to compute except for the fact that I was like, okay. So someone just walked by, looked at us, and pointed. Oh, I'm feeling like there might be. Needs to be maintenance. 06:58 Julia Hey, not in here though. 06:59 Kieran Y' all want to get on the pod? That was our school play my senior year. 07:07 Julia Nine to five. 07:08 Kieran Yeah. Early on musical. 07:09 Julia Were you, Dolly? 07:11 Kieran Yep, I was main character. 07:12 Julia Yep. 07:12 Kieran I was. I wasn't in theater in high school. 07:14 Julia Because you look just like her. So, like, I feel like that's like a good, like, typecasting. 07:18 Kieran Hold on now, Dolly. This is good because now I can do side by sides of our bit. So you're telling me that, like, I'm giving. 07:27 Julia I was joshing. It's a prank. She eats, though. Like, does she? She wears, she wears a wig all the time. Like, she eats. 07:37 Kieran Okay. 07:38 Julia Do I wear a wig all the time? 07:40 Kieran Anyhow. 07:44 Julia Anyhow. 07:44 Kieran Okay. Yeah. So my lows. And I've just been so exhausted, barely getting through the day. Right. My high. lowkey. This weekend was a really good, like, social weekend. Like, I kind of needed it after all of the things that happened last week. It was just a long week, cuz it was the first week, but I saw people, like, sporadically throughout the whole. It was a long weekend too. Like, throughout the whole long weekend. And it was really nice because it wasn't like too much social interaction, but it wasn't. I wasn't just sitting there bored out of my mind. So that was really nice. I felt very, like, fulfilled in all regards. All the way through my buffalo is that I was talking to my friend, Shout out Aiden. Hey. Hey. Aiden. 08:25 Kieran Not only did he repost my vlog onto his story and some of his friends followed the podcast account because of it, but I saw him a couple days later and I was like, hey. He's like, hey. I've been binging the entire podcast and. 08:36 Julia That'S what I love to hear. 08:37 Kieran I was like, you binge 10 hours of the podcast. Because he's like, on the Thanksgiving episode and that's like the 10th episode. I was like, okay, 10 hours of spare time. So shout out Aiden. Hope you're doing so well. Hope to get you on the pod soon. Hopefully. You hear this. Yeah. Do you have a buffalo? 08:56 Julia I do. I, I. This is kind of a high. Like a buffalo on the higher end spectrum. 09:01 Kieran That's okay. 09:02 Julia So it would be that way. But I teach their own I guys. 09:06 Kieran Sure. 09:07 Julia I'm. I'm turning into one of those people that's like, the gym is, like, low key fun. Like, it's like Loki. I look forward to it every day. And then. And now I'm. No, I don't want to be. I don't want to be a gym bro. 09:19 Kieran And the problem I've become who I feared, right? 09:22 Julia I like. And I. All this time I've been like, oh, the gym is so scary. It's so scary. What is actually not scary is the gym. Like, the. The gym is not the scary part. It's the men. It's the people. 09:32 Kieran It's the people. The people are the scariest part. 09:35 Julia It's. No, it's not the people. It's the men. When I walk in and all I see are men, like, as far as the eye can see. They're everywhere. And they're all like. And I'm like, I just, like, terrified. Like, and they. We, like, walk by and they're all. 09:51 Kieran Like, with their muscle tees. Oh, my gosh. Yes. For those. In case this doesn't work. And for those who can't see us, we every time. So the. Let me paint a picture for you. 10:00 Julia Go ahead. 10:01 Kieran You walk into Carmichael, and we go down to the bottom floor where the locker room is. Because we usually get changed, right? 10:05 Julia Because I have to serve every day. Like, obviously, I have to wear the sweater today, right? 10:08 Kieran And I am lazy, so I just wear whatever I want to wear to the gym for the whole day. But to each their own. And Julia's literally winning in that. That side by side. But whatever. We go in the locker room to put our stuff away. And in order to go down the locker room, you have to, like, pass by where, like, the actual, like, weightlifting equipment is, like, not the machines, but the actual, like, bars and the big guys. 10:28 Julia Dead right? 10:28 Kieran Like, when you think of gym, you, like, this is what you're thinking of. And you're, like, laying on your back. You're like pushing up. 10:33 Julia Yes. 10:33 Kieran You have to walk by all those. And I don't think I've ever seen a woman in that entire, like, quad of the, like, hallway. And I kid you not, every single time we walk down the stairs, at least 10 people stop and follow us as we walk. It's like a full. 10:48 Julia Right? And it's like, thank you. Like, I know I'm a baddie, but. 10:52 Kieran Like, also, like, you want me so. 10:54 Julia Bad, but also, you're scaring. Me. 10:55 Kieran Like, I'm terrified. Because why do we. 10:57 Julia Terrified. 10:58 Kieran I literally have watched people stop their reps to look at and be like, what are these women doing? 11:02 Julia I was like, thank you. But, like, no, but, like, I'm like, don't, like, acknowledge my presence. Maybe, like, in the gym. I don't exist. Like, in the gym. That's not. You can't see me, obviously, because you're so skinny. 11:13 Kieran You're barely there. 11:13 Julia No, right, like, you cannot see me. Like. Like, if you just, like, glance. Like, you. Not. Like, you have to. Like, really. 11:19 Kieran You're like a fleeting thought. Because it's. 11:21 Julia Right. Like, it's just like. Like, that's. They think I'm like a ghost when I walk by. That's why they're staring. They're like, what? I thought I saw somebody, but there. 11:28 Kieran Was, like, a whisper of a baddie. I don't really know. 11:31 Julia Where did they go? Where did the baddie go? Baddies in the locker room. 11:34 Kieran Baddies in the locker room. Don't confirm that, though. 11:38 Julia Oh. 11:38 Kieran Oh, my God. Funny story. Speaking of the locker room. So the other week, our friend Brady. If you checked out the vlog, you would know our friend Brady. 11:46 Julia Love that girl. 11:47 Kieran Shout out. I shouted out. In the past, like, three episodes, he hasn't been watching any of them. And so I was, like, shocking Brady. Wtf? Like, I've literally been shouting you out. Like, you actually hate me. Screen ager over here. 12:00 Julia Okay, I'm sorry. My phone's on do not disturb today. I'm trying a new. A new thing, New Year, new you. 12:06 Kieran Whenever I'm on do not disturb, you know that I'm not doing okay because I always put my phone on do not disturb when I'm, like, really upset. 12:11 Julia I know I do it when I send a text that I kind of don't want to see the response. And that's what I'm doing. 12:16 Kieran That is funny. I've also done that, so that's fine. Anyhow, so we, like, go to meet Brady at the gym because me and Julia come from work to the gym, so we're already together. And then he, like, shows up from his. His apartment, dorm or whatever, and so we're like, hey, like, hey, see you upstairs. Like, to just wait upstairs for us. We're going to go quickly drop our stuff off in the locker room and change. And I'm like, dang, gotta hit the bathroom. Walk into the bathroom. Julia comes with me because she's getting changed and I'm using the facilities. No toilet paper. None. Negative. Not even, like. Not even, like, where you can, like, low key scrape the. Like, the paper towel roll or the toilet paper roll. Like, I'm talking, like, bare bones. Like, there's not even the freaking cardboard in there. 12:56 Kieran I was like, what are we doing? And so I'm, like, sitting there, like, just, like. Do you know, like, in spongebob, when everything has a sound effect? Just imagine, like, a glass clink every time I blink. I was like, okay. And so I literally go, yeah. No response. All of a sudden, I hear, oh, my God, girl. And then I hear, oh, my God, girl. I literally see your dancing stuff all the time. Oh, my God, girl. Really? Let me totally send you an Instagram. And I was like, julia, now is not the time. 13:24 Julia I washing my hands, and I was like, look, like, just, you know, whatever. And I saw a queen walk by, and I was like, oh, my God. I know. Like, and she said, hey, girl. 13:30 Kieran I said, oh, my God, I have. 13:32 Julia Not seen you in. And so then were chatting, and she was like, we have got to get coffee. And I was like, girl, I will send you a dm. Like, we will. We will get together. Like, we'll go dancing. Like, girl, like, it's gonna be great. But, like, we're like, we've had, like, maybe three conversations. And then Kieran was like, literally. 13:50 Kieran The worst time for her to decide to be social because I'm literally texting her, like, julia, I have no toilet paper. Julia. Julia, please see this. Julia. Julia. Julia. Julia Parker Larson. 13:58 Julia I'm. I. Come on. I got a network with my group. 14:01 Kieran Come on. 14:02 Julia Come on. 14:02 Kieran I text Brady, and I was like, hey, like, about a hangout to dry. Like, I don't know the next time you're gonna see me. 14:07 Julia But then I didn't know which stall you were in. I was like, I texted you. I was like, where are you? So you moved your water bottle closer to the outside so I could tell where you were. And I was like, why don't you just say I'm in here? 14:17 Kieran Well, I literally was like, the same stall you saw me walk into. 14:21 Julia That was, like, more than 30 seconds ago. I remember that. 14:24 Kieran Well, the best part is I text Brady. I'm like, hey, might be a minute. Loki stranded in the bathroom. Like, no toilet paper. He's like, do you need help? And I was like, well, obviously, I'm not gonna get out like this and go get toilet paper, like. And he's like, okay, I'm on the way. And I was like, to the women's locker Room. He was like, yeah, I'm a woman at heart. It doesn't count. And I was like, okay, yeah, let me know how that goes. 14:42 Julia No, I can't. 14:44 Kieran I. Anyways, that was fine. 14:46 Julia Anyway. 14:46 Kieran But all this is. Yes, the gym is terrifying. And we are convinced that we're gonna go every single day of the week because we are gym bros here. I think the most terrifying part is the muscle T tease. 14:55 Julia I agree. I, like, don't really need to see your muscles. Like, I like. 14:58 Kieran Well, yes, I do, but also, like. 14:59 Julia I do, but, like, it's scary. 15:02 Kieran It's the muscle T meets the two inch seam shorts. 15:04 Julia Oh, my God. Like, pick one, I think. 15:06 Kieran Yeah, well, and also my favorite part is, like, usually it's like, to do the wind resistance, like, I need to be able to get my full pump in. And if I have a pita cloth, I pit the cloth. It's inhibiting my ability to push my third rep of 74. 15:22 Julia It's like, I don't know. 15:24 Kieran I can't. 15:24 Julia I, like, I just. I don't know. It's like, interesting. And like, what I'm One thing about. We're filming a. Our vlog this week is gonna be mic'd up at the gym. Like, stay tuned. 15:35 Kieran It's. 15:36 Julia It's not. It's not a pretty site. I'm gonna be honest, but I'm gonna be really vulnerable. 15:40 Kieran Like, this is a very vulnerable. Like, I got ready this morning, like, with the intention of being on the camera. Like, I don't wake up like this and I already look scary. 15:48 Julia I forgot that were gonna be on camera today, so I did not. Yeah, I'm ready to slay. But what I. One thing about me in the gym is like, I'm convinced that nobody should be looking at me, but if there is a. A young gentleman lifting a weight in. In my line of sight, I might be watching. I'm sorry. 16:07 Kieran I'm trying to get the proper form. I need another one. 16:12 Julia You need somebody to watch like any. No, I know. No, like, in this instance, that. 16:17 Kieran That's not. 16:19 Julia Anyway, so finances below is what we're talking about today. 16:23 Kieran And so is their form. Load of the flow. Me, when I drop it, okay, I. 16:30 Julia I move the chair aside, I drop it on camera. 16:32 Kieran My favorite thing that Julia does is when I, like, mess up something and she goes, me. When I'm up. And it was like, what was the. What was the one that I did? It was like, lactose intolerant. Like, lactose intolerant. You're like, Me when I'm cheese. That's dumb. Or something like that. 16:43 Julia Oh, my God. 16:44 Kieran I love. 16:46 Julia I love doing that. 16:47 Kieran That made me laugh out loud. And I was like, I need to tell someone about this. But no one's gonna find this funny because they weren't in the conversation. But I laughed out loud. 16:55 Julia Like, I'm sorry. If you mess up a word, I will be pointing it out and making. 16:58 Kieran What did I say? 16:59 Julia I can't remember, but it was good. 17:00 Kieran It was between or like, behind or. 17:03 Julia Like, I think it was when were talking about Mac and cheese and you were talking about lactose, but you. 17:09 Kieran Said like, no, the other one that I did the other day where I was, like, trying to say between or like, when I was behind, like, I don't know. Do you know? But I was like, anyways, in the sense that hello, Mr. 17:20 Julia Beast. 17:20 Kieran That's been my other. 17:21 Julia Going in with the hello, Mr. 17:23 Kieran Beast. 17:24 Julia New vocal stim. And it's us. Hello, Mr. Beast. I love. I can't. 17:31 Kieran I'm realizing now how many times I deadpan and it's like. Or how many times I like, emote and I'm like, that has to make zero sense. 17:37 Julia It's so funny, somebody pressing a button that it's like, say, hello, Mr. 17:41 Kieran Beast. The rat on top of my head. I am me. Anyways, finances below. Let me set a scene for you in specific. So picture this. I work 20 hours a week. So you must be thinking, wow, Kieran is in the dough. Like, calling Mr. Scrooge. The way I be diving in these coins. Wrong, incorrect, not true. And let me tell you why. So the way that it works here, I like to do this for dramatic effect. I think it's funny. And if it's not, I don't care. Yeah, I really care. 18:16 Julia You guys think so? 18:17 Kieran Yeah. Podcast over. So the way that it works at NC State is you get paid every two weeks, but you don't get paid for the two weeks that you just completed. 18:26 Julia It was like four weeks ago. 18:27 Kieran You get paid by, like, a month previous of that or like three weeks before. It feels like a whole thing. So when I was getting paid last Friday, it was not for the first two weeks of January I was getting paid. It was for the last two weeks of December that I was getting paid, which is. Which is winter break. And I was not allowed to work for the last, like, two weeks of December because of the university being closed. I was only allowed to work, like, a specific amount. Like, specific day. There was, like, a day cut off. I could not Clock in anymore. Which was like, it like bled partly into the last two weeks. All that to say. So these past two weeks of January I have been scrounging like you have never seen before. 19:06 Kieran If anybody's ever seen over the hedge. There is a scene in which the rj, the head raccoon of it all is okay. Is like, guys, look at all this food, human food and like dumps the trash can. Everybody's like. And they like, what is the dory thing? That thing? Yeah. And they like all go diving in it, swimming. And they're like cheese and cookies and trash. That was me the past two weeks because I go grocery shopping once a month. I do a hundred dollars for a whole month of groceries. Which by the way, I am the next couponer the way I can do that. I have not gone grocery shopping since November because I was just like using what I had and then also went home every now and then for the holidays. 19:48 Kieran And so I get back and I was like I opened my cabinets to find cobwebs and so I was. 19:55 Julia Like, right, it's true. 19:56 Kieran But I wasn't gonna go grocery shopping because I had no money because I hadn't been paid. And so I'm like, it was bad. Like I was eating ramen for meals after, like working out at the gym. 20:07 Julia You know that. 20:08 Kieran Yeah, yeah, go ahead. 20:10 Julia No, I was just going to say this. Like I think maybe my finances are in dire straits. And I'm like, oh, I'm not eating lunch. I'm just. Just having breakfast. 20:22 Kieran Yeah. 20:23 Julia Like I don't echo that. We go to the gym for like an hour and a half. 20:26 Kieran Yes. And then I feel like death is upon my. 20:29 Julia Like I'm generally like, I have to lock it after going to pass out. 20:31 Kieran It's now or never. Like it's bad. And so I like, let me get in specific. I went over to my friend's apartment and we made pancakes that morning. She was like, oh, I low, you don't want these cuz they're gross. 20:44 Julia And I was like, I'll take them. 20:45 Kieran I'll take them because I don't have food. And so I was eating quick mix. Like it was like a quick mix muffins that we made into pancakes as breakfast. Julia had these leftover gluten free bagels from when she went to Montreat. She's not gluten free and neither am I. And I said, I, I'll take those, they're not good. But I didn't have food and so I'm like, going through these two weeks, everybody's pretty aware about how bad it is because they're seeing me eat things that are not for a full meal. Like cheese, like shredded cheese and a diet Coke. Is not lunch. Like, that is. That's just like a mission. That's like, willpower that girl. Dinner. Yes. And so I'm like, guys, payday is on Friday. I'm like, oh, my God, I'm going to go grocery shopping. 21:31 Kieran I'm about to have so much rice and pasta and meat and sustenance. I'm about to have a fruit. I'm about to be revived. 21:39 Julia Yes. 21:40 Kieran I'm like, oh, it's Friday. Cool. Let me check that bank. I open it. $39. My paycheck is $39. As in the two digit number. As in there is no sense. There is no number before that. It is just the single two digit number 39. 21:57 Julia And I said occur. And I was like. 22:00 Kieran And everybody goes, oh, everybody. Because they all like, one thing about. 22:07 Julia Me is I've been hyping up this paycheck. Yes. 22:11 Kieran Well, because it was like my own sense of, like, motivation. I was into that. I was like, it's gonna be great. It's gonna be fine. Let me clarify. I wasn't like, dying. Like, I had like, one thing about me is that, well, about my parents. They're Costco shoppers. And so when my mom texted me and said, hey, girl, what you need a few months ago? And I was like, oh, I lowkey need some pasta. She brought over eight bags of pasta. Love her shadow Amy. She is my ride or die. But so I had pasta. But, you know, I was like, guys, this is gonna be it. Like, this is gon be the paycheck of the century. 22:43 Julia Wrong. 22:44 Kieran It was not. So now I'm trying to stretch 39 for another two weeks. 22:48 Julia Well, because we're also going to dinner on Thursday with all our friends. Yes. We'll be having water. 22:52 Kieran I will be breathing. 22:54 Julia Yeah. So delicious. 22:56 Kieran And what's also great is I have a car payment coming up in two weeks, so hoping and praying that this commission and overtime be kicking in. 23:03 Julia Oh, yeah, that commission better be hit. 23:05 Kieran In free because I also couldn't work the first week of January. Oh, my God. 23:10 Julia But we've been guys a lot lately. Like since we got back to school, we've been like, locked in. 23:14 Kieran Yeah, but the week before school, I'll be getting paid for the first week of January and the week after, weren't in school then. 23:20 Julia Oh, I. Oh, Shoot. I. Guys, I, like, I'm sorry. I have a really hard time not cursing on the podcast. So just, like, I didn't just do. 23:32 Kieran That anyhow, so finances below. And my life hack is rice and pasta. Rice and pasta. Like, I can get four servings out of one bag of pasta. And that's my life hack for you. Like, meal planning is. It's. It's kind of. It, like, that's. Yeah, that's how I be up to burp. 23:51 Julia Right. 23:51 Kieran Surviving out here. One thing that you guys don't know, because there hasn't been video proof of it until now, is that I burp a lot during the podcast. You just don't see it because I step away from the mic and I just don't acknowledge it. I burp a lot during the podcast. I'm a chronic burper. It's a really bad problem. It's. I genuinely, like, a actual issue that's been, like, addressed by my doctor is I'm like, I'm a Belcher. 24:17 Julia Like, I like. 24:19 Kieran I burp an ungodly amount. No Julia can attest, and so can literally everyone else in my life. I never stop burping. 24:27 Julia It's interesting. 24:28 Kieran It's really bad. And so I, like, talk to my doctor about it, and they're like, low key. You just might be cooked. Like, I don't really know what to tell you. 24:33 Julia Sorry. 24:34 Kieran You might just want to, like, accept that one. But, yeah, I burp a lot during the pod, and you guys just don't see it. But now I'm going to be exposed for the fact that I burp at least, like, six times a podcast episode. 24:42 Julia I have to say, currently my nose is running. It's like, you know, so I've been wiping my nose. You guys, this is just us. Like, this is us. Welcome. 24:49 Kieran I am brave. 24:50 Julia I am Bruce. This is who I'm meant to be. This is me, and that's us. And that's what I always say, anyways. Well, here's some life hacks that I have been living with, utilizing. Yes. Well, first of all, one is that somebody left a bunch of ramen in the break room and said, free for the taking. And I said, I'll be taking. 25:10 Kieran So the wish is my command. 25:12 Julia I literally, the other day, you went off to a class or something, and I was still in the office, and I, like, went to go get ramen, and there was not a bowl in sight. And I said, that's gonna be a problem. So then obviously I went to Drew and I said, Drew, do you have a bowl? And he said, no. And so then I went to Abby, our boss, and I said, girl, do you have a bowl? And she said, no. And I was like, okay, perfect. So then I went back to the break room, got a coffee cup, and I broke the ramen all the way up and stuffed it in there and then filled it up with water. And. And that was my ramen. And then it overflowed in the microwave. So then I did have to clean the microwave. 25:39 Julia And our. The guy, like, he's not our boss, but he's like, Ben, you know Bin. 25:46 Kieran Yes. 25:46 Julia He walked by like, five times during the process of me making this ramen. And I was just sitting on the couch like, hey. So there's that. My two other main life hacks. One is where there will always be food is going to be at church. You go to church, those I. Those ladies will feed you. And this is like, maybe this is a little humbling, but I. What time last semester went to church? It was, like, raining and like, oh, no, this is not last semester. Like two semesters ago. Yes. 26:19 Kieran Okay. 26:19 Julia And I get there, and the ladies of the church are running the feeding ministry where they provide food for all the unhoused people in the area. I walk in, I'm looking like. 26:30 Kieran And that wet cat meme, or whatever it is. 26:32 Julia And Queen was like. She was like, oh, honey, do you need something to eat? And I was like, yeah. And she was like, here, I have a sandwich for you. And I was like, I'm vegetarian. And she was like, that's okay. It's just a cheese sandwich. And here's an apple and some crackers. And I was like, thank you. I was like, you know what? I love you, girl. And, like, also, we have our own kitchen, like, pcm, my campus ministry, in the basement of the church. And I'd be going in there and looking at that fridge. There's always something. The ladies will put their. Put their, like, leftovers, like, from all their events in our fridge. So then genuinely, I could live off of just what's in that fridge. Like, there's always stuff and there's always something. There's always a snack to be had. 27:10 Julia My last and, like, major ish hack is whenever I'm running low on food and I don't want to go to the grocery store, I text my sibling and I'm like, hey, can I come stay with you for the weekend? Like, let's hang out. 27:23 Kieran Missing you, missing you so much. 27:26 Julia And then I go over there and I eat all their food for the weekend, and that's what I do. And I don't have any food, so it's really. You know, And I feel like I used to be very insecure about when I didn't have money and I couldn't get whatever I want whenever I want. But this is my truth, and I feel that we're all living it in college. Unless you're living on daddy's money. And if you are, I got a problem with you. But it's okay. It's fine. I accept you for who you are and just jealous and envious in my heart. But, like, we're all. We're all in this together. Yeah, that's how I feel. And now I'm actively witnessing a screenager over here with the freaking Apple Watch. What are we looking at? 28:09 Kieran Well, I just got an email to. Okay, you just got a new client. 28:12 Julia You got. 28:13 Kieran I did, yeah. 28:14 Julia Who? Let me. Hold on. 28:15 Kieran Career angel. AI. Oh, I just got a message to my personal email from someone saying, hey, Kieran, I want to move forward with this, but I don't ever remember emailing this lady who. 28:24 Julia What's her name? 28:25 Kieran Colleen Thomas. I don't know. She's with engineering. Hey, I'm just here anyhow. 28:31 Julia New client. 28:33 Kieran Something I love. I love my mother, love my father. Oh, I just got another. Oh, she said, woo. Love my mother, love my father. One thing is, my mom goes, hey, I'm at the grocery store. You need anything? Actually, that's crazy, because I need. And then I list 10 things that I need. And again, I love my mother because she is also a Costco mom. So then she brings me bundles, and she's like, I also saw these and I thought you might like them. And I was like, I will now because it's food in my pantry. My other life hack is when people are like, wow, like, take some leftovers. Like, and I take some leftovers. I take some leftovers. I went to a vowel renewal, like, two years ago now a year ago, my aunt. 29:12 Julia Oh, I feel like you have 8, 000 aunts. Because all the time you'd be saying you went to a wedding or like, whatever, and I'm like, I have eight. 29:18 Kieran Yeah, I have eight aunts, girls, or seven. Seven ants. I'm only communication with two of them. 29:25 Julia Oh. 29:25 Kieran But I biologically have seven. 29:27 Julia I feel like I've definitely met more than two. 29:30 Kieran Well, I have my great aunt, which is my mom's aunt. Okay. 29:33 Julia And you know what? Love that queen. 29:35 Kieran We love Annette. Annette and Terry are so Real. 29:37 Julia And I want to be them. Like, I. 29:39 Kieran When you grow up, you want to be. Actually, let me not. 29:42 Julia But, yeah, no, you can speak. You could speak. 29:44 Kieran They love pickleball. Does that speaks to you? 29:47 Julia I don't know how to play, but I could get into that. Like, I could get into playing pickleball with my wife. Like, you will see me, like, eat that down. Like, eat that, though. Yeah, I'd be fine. 29:55 Kieran They're low key. They're low key, though. My. I call her my aunt because I don't want to say my grand. But she's my great at. My great aunt worked at IKEA for, like, forever, and they founded her own department. And so I have, like, massive connections to Ikea Furnace. 30:07 Julia Well, let me tell you this. What is a little crazy is whenever I'm around Kieran's family and I'm, like, chatting with her grandma or her great aunt Queen, both those queens, same age as my dad. And I said, hey. 30:17 Kieran Yes. So this is true. I have a very young family. My mother is an age I will not reveal. But my Grandma is, like, 65. 30:27 Julia Yeah. 30:27 Kieran Or something. 30:28 Julia That's, like, actually ludicrous to me. Like what? Like, me and your mom are of the same. You know what I'm saying? If your grandma is the age of my dad. Me and your mom. You're like my. You're like my child. Me and your mom are the same. Are the same, like, level, like. Oh, like what? Like. Okay, picture this. Your grandma. 30:47 Kieran Yeah. 30:48 Julia Is the same age as my dad. 30:49 Kieran Oh. So then. 30:50 Julia So both of their children. So me and Amy. 30:53 Kieran Yeah. Are of the same. Next. Symmetry. 30:55 Julia Yeah. So actually, I'm. 30:57 Kieran You're my mother. 30:58 Julia I'm your mother. 30:59 Kieran Your mom. 30:59 Julia Yes, your mother. And Amy's my twin. 31:01 Kieran Yeah. Loki. Amy's all of our twins. I love referring to my mother by her first name, Amy. I call her Mama, though, and that makes me feel very southern. Mommy. No, I call her mama. Oh, Mo mma. 31:14 Julia I call. 31:15 Kieran That's Momo. Momma. Wait, wait. Mama has one. Wait, Ma. Ma. 31:20 Julia Yes. 31:22 Kieran Hey, guys. 31:24 Julia I call my mommy. 31:26 Kieran Yes, true. 31:27 Julia And I call my dad Papa. 31:28 Kieran Sometimes I say, mommy, Mommy. I call my dad. I call my. I just come down. 31:35 Julia I say. I say. Well, like, let's see. When he gets on the phone, I'm like. I say, hey, Papa or hey, Pa or hey, Pop. 31:42 Kieran My grandpa is Pops. 31:44 Julia Yeah. 31:45 Kieran Well, actually, fun fact about my family is we all refer to each other, for the most part, by first names. 31:49 Julia Love it. 31:49 Kieran None of us are Grandma or aunt or whatever. Like, my. Obviously, like my parents, sometimes I call them Amy and Joe just because, like, for comedic effect. But I don't, like, refer to them as Amy. 31:57 Julia So Amy and Joe, they are never met a more Amy and Joe. Amy. 32:01 Kieran And everybody loves my parents. Everybody loves Amy and Joe because they're so real. And they're. They're young, so they're like, they're very hip and cool. My mom one time literally came down on a pair of skinny ripped jeans and was like, am I hip like the girls? She's like, I'm trying to be cool and trendy as a set. And I was like, Amy. I was like, that is sister. I was like, you're a little younger than me. Like, I am the mother now. Like, you're so cool. 32:23 Julia I have a question. 32:23 Kieran Yeah. 32:24 Julia What do you want if you have kids who didn't have kids, what do you want? 32:28 Kieran Your grandchildren? 32:30 Julia Yes. 32:30 Kieran Okay. 32:31 Julia Okay. 32:32 Kieran Just confirming if you could. 32:34 Julia I'll just actually jump through that window. If you could, that'd be great. What do you want your name to be as a grandparent? 32:41 Kieran Kiki. Oh, I think Stinky Stink. Well, I don't think I would be referred to as stinky. I don't think my children are going to understand the lore behind stinky. And I just don't want to be referred to as Stinky. Gross, nasty, Grandma. Like, disgusting, filthy, trashy. 32:59 Julia Trashy. 33:00 Kieran They're like, hey, dumpster dive, how you doing? Hey, loser. One of my nicknames is Kiki, and so I feel like. Or Keeks. I get leaks. Leak. Okay. There's a leak in the boat. Did you see that from Gladiator Meatballs? 33:16 Julia You love that movie. You like, reference that movie all the time. 33:19 Kieran No, I do not. 33:20 Julia Yes, you do. 33:21 Kieran Cloudy with the Chains of Meatballs. Yes, I like to reference the Jello. 33:24 Julia Because I just think that's so funny talking about you. 33:27 Kieran You said because everything looks like the Jello. I don't like Jello, though. 33:30 Julia I love Jello. 33:31 Kieran Hot take. 33:31 Julia I love the texture. 33:33 Kieran I don't. 33:34 Julia I really don't like. I don't. I don't care about the flavor. I love the texture. 33:37 Kieran I don't like any of it anyway. I think I'd have my grandfather and call me Kiki. 33:43 Julia Kiki. Yeah. 33:44 Kieran Or ke. 33:45 Julia I was. I was talking to somebody. Can't remember who it was because I talk a lot, but I was talking to them about this. It might have been Blake. 33:52 Kieran Sure. 33:52 Julia I don't know. 33:53 Kieran Hey, Blake. 33:53 Julia Also, shout out Blake. 33:54 Kieran He came up to me during contra dance. Was Like, I heard you guys talk about me in the podcast. 33:58 Julia Oh, my God, he's so adorable. I can't. Anyway, I was saying maybe my grandchildren will call me Juju, like how my friends do. 34:05 Kieran Yeah, Juju. 34:06 Julia Like, all my friends call me Jew, but, like, yeah, my family, like, will call me Juju, and I feel like that, like, kind of resonates, you know? 34:13 Kieran Yeah. 34:14 Julia Yeah. Anyway, sorry, that was just, like, a little question. I just. 34:18 Kieran I. Like, maybe I. I feel like I always make. I posted my spam account, like, every week early on my spam account. One of my favorite pastimes. But I always make an album for it and I name it something random. Oh, that's what it is. I made the album for your birthday when I was collecting photos. Juju on that beat. But I spent J U Like, as in Jew, like, juju on that beat. 34:43 Julia Who was I? 34:43 Kieran Oh, that made me laugh. 34:45 Julia In Montreat, I was. I was staying with, which is the retreat that I went on with my campus ministry. 34:51 Kieran Yeah. 34:52 Julia I was just explaining for those who may not have listened. I stayed with the UNCW people that I like, kind of know. Okay, yeah, you hate me. No, no, I can see in your face. 35:02 Kieran No, you can't, because I'm not looking at you. 35:04 Julia I can see the side of your eye through all the things that I'm looking at. I can see you. Anyway, and my old campus minister from unc, I was like, were talking, and she's like, yeah, Julia, like, has her own podcast. And then she's like, wait, do you prefer Jew? And I was like, you know what? Yeah. And so all these people that I just met, like, called me Jew, and I was like, I love it. Like, that's, like. That's what I, like, do. Low key. Prefer that. Like, I like, you preferred you. Yeah, I wish more people called me that, but I don't know how to introduce that now. Like, I can't, like, make a public service announcement, like, hey, guys, just call me Jimmy Jim. 35:34 Kieran What's funny is, like, I've started calling you to other people who, like, don't call you Jew. 35:38 Julia Right. 35:38 Kieran Like, some of my friends who are like, yeah, they're friends with you, but, like, not in the same way that, like, we are with each other. And so I'll text people, me, yeah. Juice said, blah, blah. And they always think that I meant to see then to say I. And so the other day, like, for example, I was like, yeah, ju's gonna go. Go do something. And they're like, make sure, you tell me all about it. And I was like, I'm sure she will, I guess. 35:56 Julia Okay. 35:56 Kieran And they're like, oh, yeah. Slay. 35:58 Julia Yeah. 35:58 Kieran Like, try to cover up. And they're like, loki. I thought you were just didn't know how to spell eye. 36:01 Julia And I was like, okay, guys, you don't get it. You don't get it. 36:04 Kieran I wish I had. 36:05 Julia Okay? 36:05 Kieran One thing about me is I love a nickname. I love having a nickname. I love giving people nicknames. I love a nickname. Everybody in my life, for the most part, has a nickname. Obviously, Julia is Jew. 36:17 Julia Obviously it. 36:18 Kieran You know, Brady is Buzz. B U h, J J. Budge. 36:25 Julia Right. 36:26 Kieran Sarah is Sarah. DM I like, just call E. But he doesn't get it. He doesn't. 36:30 Julia He. 36:31 Kieran I like redheady. 36:32 Julia I don't typically rage bait people, but there's no one in this world I love to rage bait more than that man. And we're not even friends like that. I texted, I swiped up on his story the other day of his car. He's like a car guy. And I said, okay, minivan. 36:47 Kieran Yeah, it's not a mini. 36:48 Julia It's not a minivan. And he didn't like that. I was like, I love the sparkles on that. He's like, those are raindrops. I said, you should keep those sparkles. They look so good. It looks so pretty. I just love doing that. 36:57 Kieran I told him that his car looks like a hearse, and he was like, it does. 37:00 Julia It like. And like the look he gets on his face. I love it. 37:02 Kieran He was like, die. And I was like, I love that. 37:05 Julia Anyway, continue. 37:05 Kieran I love Ridgewood and Rosier. I don't know what I was saying. Oh, yes, nicknames. What other nicknames do I have? 37:14 Julia I call you nasty. 37:15 Kieran You do call me Call everybody nasty. It's not like my nickname. 37:18 Julia That's true. That's true. I do. Be quiet. 37:20 Kieran I have a lot of nicknames at home. The most famous one is Bugger Bear, which is my email. 37:25 Julia Yeah. 37:27 Kieran Gmail. Thank you. Put some respect on the name. 37:31 Julia My laptop always just fell off the table. 37:33 Kieran It's really embarrassing, though, when I go to the doctor or like, any. All my financial records and like, important things, like, is under Bugabear. 37:41 Julia Because you're nasty. 37:42 Kieran I like schedule appointments. I'm like, yeah, I'll get an email. I'm like, okay, so bug a bear. They're like, okay, so I have Bugabear Dot. 37:47 Julia And I was like, so I have. Going in with the bugabear. 37:51 Kieran Like, why don't you just call me a loser. Like, I don't. I have so many. I have at least 20 nicknames at home. Angel, Lamba, Bugabear, Bug, or Bear. Cure. Cure, Bug. Sweet girl love. 38:06 Julia Classic. 38:09 Kieran I. I get them. Angel. 38:10 Julia I. Wait, okay, let me. Can I list mine? 38:12 Kieran Yeah. 38:14 Julia Me. Okay. Obviously Jew. Yeah. Then Juju. Yeah. And then Cleo, My sibling calls me Junis or June. 38:22 Kieran You get Jupiter. Ever? 38:24 Julia Nope. 38:25 Kieran Maybe I'll integrate that. 38:26 Julia Okay. Also do ya. Okay. D O O Y A H. Because when Cleo was little, they couldn't say my name, so they said, do ya. And then that translated to doot. D O O T. And then there was doot. Doot. 38:43 Kieran You're just a sound effect. It's just like, that's what they call me. You're like, yes, yes, I heard my name. Someone's phone rings and you're like, calling me. 38:55 Julia I thought I heard my name. 38:56 Kieran I'm sorry. I'm just supposed to be, like, at home. I just. 39:02 Julia That is funny. 39:03 Kieran Someone's alarm goes off. I can't. Oh, my God. 39:10 Julia Okay, what else? Jubile. I get that. 39:14 Kieran Okay. Jubilee. Isn't that a YouTube account? Jubilee. 39:18 Julia Yeah. 39:19 Kieran Okay. 39:19 Julia I get called. I mean, Jules, obviously. 39:23 Kieran Classic juju on that beat. 39:26 Julia Right, Right. I'm trying to think. 39:30 Kieran One of mine is I get Sissy, but like sister, not like loser. Like, you know. 39:35 Julia Yeah. My. 39:39 Kieran My brothers used to call me Sissy. And then. 39:41 Julia That's really cute. 39:42 Kieran Yeah. And my aunt calls me Sissy. And then. 39:46 Julia Probably because you're the same age. 39:47 Kieran Yeah. My aunt is, like, low key, like 30, and I'm like 19. So, you know. But I also get to see Michael a lot because my brother's middle name is Michael. My youngest brother, when he was little, he thought that meant everybody in the world's middle name was Michael. 39:58 Julia Well, obviously. 39:59 Kieran And so he's like, oh. So that's when he was, like, trying to learn how to, like, say my actual name. He's like, that's Michael McLean. And I was like, right. Well, yes, it is. I am Sissy Michael. So I don't know. 40:09 Julia My else. 40:09 Kieran Yeah, Sister Michael. I can't. You think nuns ever go by nicknames? 40:15 Julia I don't know, but I could low key be a nun. Like, I used to like. 40:18 Kieran Okay, I don't think you could. 40:21 Julia I think I could have the self control. 40:23 Kieran Okay. 40:23 Julia But like, no, I think this all the time. I could, like, rock with being a nun, but then I like go to the gym and see a muscle and then I'm like, no, I can't. 40:30 Kieran Yeah, I couldn't. I was gonna say you told me, make sure I stay off the apps. Quite literally. Three days later, you send me a screenshot, and I said, oh, so that looks like an app to me. Okay. 40:39 Julia No, I'm sorry. If I see a muscle walk by or a mustache walk by, I can't stop. Like, I have to look. I'm sorry. 40:47 Kieran You should. You shouldn't be sorry. It's okay that. 40:49 Julia You're right. 40:50 Kieran You shouldn't be sorry. 40:52 Julia A woman is rise up. 40:55 Kieran Rise like the day copyright. What time are we at? 40:59 Julia We are at. Oh, that shot is actually terrific. We are at 40 minutes. Oh, my God, me. And I lose my voice because shot is so bad. 41:08 Kieran Let me do, like, a quick summary of, like, two other points to at least pretend that we talked about something of substance. 41:12 Julia No. No instances. You're not alone in being broke. Like, sister, we're broke too. 41:17 Kieran We're educating you on the fact that we are broke. Why is everything so expensive as a college student? Because my question is, I pay so much freaking tuition, and I don't get a student discount. 41:27 Julia Right. 41:27 Kieran At Wolfpack Outfitters. 41:28 Julia So. No, that. Why are. Why is merch for my college. Let me mark it for you. So expensive for me, who goes to this college? 41:37 Kieran It makes me. 41:38 Julia Hello. 41:39 Kieran So mad. It makes me so mad. So angry. 41:41 Julia Like, I. Like, when I go to the thrift store, I look for anything red because I'm like, well, I can never afford anything that's in the freaking store. 41:47 Kieran Nope. And I got. One time at the thrift store, I got, like, this 2xL NC State sweatshirt. 41:52 Julia Yes. 41:52 Kieran And that's a squirt very large on me, so I don't wear it out in public. But I love it. It's very comfy. But it is a NC State on it, so by definition, I do own it. 42:00 Julia Well, the only real NC State merch I have is some that Santa brought to me. Right. 42:07 Kieran Yes. I do take advantage of, like, on Halloween, they always do 31 off. I like that on the 31st. So I do. I do take advantage of that. 42:13 Julia And also on the last day of the semester, they'd be doing, like, major sales. But still, I can't afford anything because it's still expensive. 42:18 Kieran No, they, like, they have this, like, one section where the T shirts are, and you can get them for, like, $10 or something. So I'll go, like, for, like, a 31% off $10. Yeah. For a shirt. But I only own, like, three NC State items that are like branded NC State because it's so freaking expensive. 42:34 Julia Agree. 42:34 Kieran I can't. 42:35 Julia Anyway, once there was a way. No tap, no doubt. Okay, guys. I actually wrote some down on my phone. I, like, sat down and, like, wrote them. Oh, my God. Jay texted me back. 42:49 Kieran Fun thing about us that I don't know if this was ever known. We have. I have a notes app. Like a literal. It's called Notes app because we. I literally have the notes app. And one of my notes app is just. Just our notes app segments that I write. 43:02 Julia Wait, I wrote these notes on that. That guy that was like, can I play for you at a contra dance? Gave me his email, which, in solidarity with you is Pooba Puka. 43:12 Kieran Who is Pooba Puka? 43:14 Julia This man who is at least 55. That's his email. That's gonna be you, and you're 55. Oh, my God. I have a funny notes app to share. 43:23 Kieran Okay, go ahead. 43:24 Julia This is just like a funny thing that happened. And then I have a good question. 43:27 Kieran Okay, I'm ready. 43:29 Julia So I was in the shower the other day as one is. And one thing about me, I. I do like, I share a bathroom with people, so. 43:36 Kieran Right. 43:37 Julia But one thing about me also is that this mic is freaking floppy. One thing about me also is that I will have my tunes cranked and I will be right. 43:46 Kieran Yes. 43:46 Julia Singing in the shower. I don't care that, like, you can hear me anyway. But I was listening to our podcast in the shower the other day because I listened to our podcast all the time. I'm sorry if that makes me self absorbed. 43:56 Kieran I just like it. You made it. 43:58 Julia I was telling somebody. It's like. It's like if I read my own journal entries. Like, it's like, just like my thoughts, like, recorded. Anyway, was listening to it, and somebody, one of my, like, sweet came in, was like, are you okay? Because they, like, heard some, like, sound that we made on the podcast or like, us, like, screaming or something, and they were, like, concerned that I was okay. And I was like, yeah, like, hello? So then obviously I immediately turn it off and started listening to music. But I was like, that is actually. Are you okay? I was like, guys, I'm fine. Oh, my God. 44:31 Kieran Wait, what was the question? 44:32 Julia No, that. The question is like an unrelated thing. That was just a story I have. Okay. Another story. And then. And then I'll ask my question. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm just like, you're fine, girl. I'm in a silly mood. At the contra dance, was dancing with this man. And he's a fantastic dancer. Like, shout out, girl. Like, I love dancing with you. Like, it's so fun. Yes. Was dancing. At the end of the dance, King said, can I dip you? And I said, you sure can, sweetheart. So then he did all the way down, guys. He almost kissed me. Isn't that crazy? He dipped me, and then I got back up and he, like. And I was like, what? 45:06 Kieran Centimeters away. 45:07 Julia I was like, oh, hey. Like, I know you want me so bad, but, like, whoa, now is not the time, sweetheart. Anyway. Okay, my question is, what type of flooring would you be? 45:22 Kieran What type of flooring? 45:23 Julia Yes. 45:24 Kieran I want to be a cold hardwood floor. 45:27 Julia Like, what color? Like a dark stain or a light stain? 45:30 Kieran A dark stain, I think. 45:31 Julia Or. 45:32 Kieran Okay, wait. Well, there's two ways I could take this. Okay. I love the classics of, like, it's like a spruce. Like a dark wood. I would be a hardwood floor. Like, that's just gonna happen, right? 45:42 Julia No, I agree. 45:42 Kieran I think I'm sturdy, I'm reliable. And also, I love the cold. And I just feel like that, like, laying down on a hardwood floor, I feel like I have the same vibe as that. You are 100% a light stained one. Yeah, you just are like, you are. You're light. You're, like, colorful. You're beach, like. And you. You are you as a feather. I think I would be like, a dark spruce or something. 46:07 Julia I like that. I like, I was thinking wood for me as well, but then I also, you know, like, the old, like, tiles that are, like, really cool and, like, weird designs. 46:16 Kieran Like the mosaic. Mosaic. 46:17 Julia Yeah, kind of like that. I'll have to look up a picture while you share your notes up and I'll show you, but I feel like I could kind of be that. But also I feel like that's too cold for me. Like, I feel like maybe that wouldn't be me. Like, so tired, you know? 46:30 Kieran You also give me. Is like, the checkered floor. 46:32 Julia Really? I can kind of see that. Yeah. 46:34 Kieran You low key. Give checkered floor. 46:35 Julia Thank you. Yeah, I like that. What am I? 46:37 Kieran Notes. Apple. 46:38 Julia Oh, like, here, Like. Okay. Just kidding. Sorry. Like this, like. Yeah. Moment. 46:44 Kieran Yeah, Your. Your tile. 46:45 Julia Yeah, but like, a design tile. 46:47 Kieran Yeah, your design tile. Yeah, yeah, I'll give you that. Yeah. 46:50 Julia Anyway. 46:53 Kieran Okay, one of my. This is a story I've been waiting to share for like, a month and a half now. I just keep forgetting to share it. Okay. So the other day, I was waiting in the bathroom. This is like a traditional. Like, there was nothing special about this bathroom. Outside of the fact that it was a bathroom. Just keeping that in mind. 47:06 Julia And that's. 47:07 Kieran And in the bathroom, there were three separate signs about choking hazards and how to do the Heimlich. And my question was, is how many people have choked in this bathroom that. 47:16 Julia We needed the bathroom? 47:21 Kieran How many people have choked in this bathroom? Like, like, it was, like, about food. They're like, make sure you're chewing your food all the way and swallowing. 47:27 Julia Oh, my God, I'm sorry, guys. I'm gonna be fired. 47:31 Kieran Yeah, you are sorry. Like, three separate signs inside and another sign outside of the B about choking. 47:38 Julia Was that a restaurant? 47:39 Kieran It looked like a cafe, like a coffee shop. I was like, who. Why is. Like, what event happened in here that we needed four separate signs surrounding the bathroom stall to remember how to, like, chew and swallow so that. 47:53 Julia Really? I actually don't like that. 47:55 Kieran I don't either. I was like, what? Like, what is the backstory here? And are we okay? What else did I have? Oh, diagonals. Let me tell you something about me. Ever since. If there is one thing I've ever taken away from math, outside of the fact that A squared plus B squared equals C squared, is that diagonals are always going to be faster than going up and, like, to the left or, like, to, like, take a corner. Like, if you're walking. 48:16 Julia Yeah. 48:16 Kieran It's faster to walk diagonally across the square than it is to go around two sides of the square. And ever since I learned that in whatever grade that was, I have not stopped walking diagonal since. And I was thinking about that today, because every chance I get, even if it saves me, like, four whole steps, I'm taking a diagonal. And even if it's unconventional or out of the way, I always take a diagonal. And I, like. I don't know when that became instilled in me, but. Oh, my God. Also, speaking of instilled, I realized the other day that I've been saying installed instead of instilled, and I've been writing installed instead of instilled. And then my dad was, like, editing something for me, and he was like, do you mean instilled? 48:52 Julia It kind of, like, is in the same realm of thing. 48:55 Kieran Well, that's what I was saying. I was trying to explain to someone the other day that I say a lot of synonyms for words that are, like, the fourth, sitting them down on a list like installed and instilled, like, in a roundabout way, mean the same thing somewhat. But, like, if I searched, synonyms for instill install is like, very far down the list of synonyms, but it is a synonym. Like in. In theory, it means roughly the same thing. I think instill is closer to install than install is to instill, but kind of like how square is a rectangle but a rectangle isn't square. 49:27 Julia Yes. 49:28 Kieran Love doing that. Secondary needed to point out, even though we're, like, at the end of this episode now, I've been touching my nose and all. I don't have a booger. It's my nose piercing flips out and it really bothers me because I can feel it. Okay. 49:41 Julia Yes, you should. You should get like a. I know. 49:43 Kieran I keep forgetting to go. Do I have to just go do it? I just keep forgetting to go do it. Girl, we should go do it this weekend. 49:48 Julia I can. I'm going skiing this weekend. But I. 49:50 Kieran Okay. I just spent, like, soon, like, on Sunday. 49:52 Julia Wait. And Cleo just texted me and said I'd be stinking today. And I said in a bad way. And they said, yeah. 49:59 Kieran Oh, my gosh. Speaking of lingo, I have recently developed you up send Rotten. And I think that is so freaking funny to play on the you up send pics. I say you upset Ryan because it's true. 50:12 Julia I texted my mom today and I said, I'm putting in a request for Kieran and I that you send a video of Rotten today because I need it. I need. What I. What would really go so far in my life is if there's a video of Rotten with its toes out like this and it's going, that's what I need. 50:27 Kieran I love it. 50:30 Julia So nasty. Oh, my God. 50:31 Kieran Oh, my gosh. Not related to that at all. Like, whatsoever. I found a gray eyebrow hair on myself. I've been finding gray hairs. 50:41 Julia I have come across a few on myself as well. And I was like, not an eyebrow hair, though. 50:45 Kieran Yeah, no, I've gotten. 50:46 Julia That's interesting. Do you pluck your eyebrows? Oh, no. You get your eyebrows done, Your mommy takes you to get them done, right? 50:50 Kieran Yeah. I also just don't grow a lot of eyebrow hair, so. 50:52 Julia That's true. 50:53 Kieran Very few and far between that. They get like. 50:55 Julia Like, I. 50:55 Kieran But I have grow a lot. Very curly eyebrow hair and. Which is okay. Like, it grows so long and curly. I just don't grow a lot of them. Like, I just have a few hairs that just grow really long. 51:05 Julia You have to, like. It's like having a comb over. You just have to, like, comb. 51:08 Kieran I need to, like. I just have to get them trimmed or learn how to do it because it's just it's getting ridiculous and they, like, puff out or, like, up and it. 51:17 Julia I'm thinking of getting a haircut. 51:20 Kieran Like, dramatically or just in general? 51:22 Julia Like, not dramatically. Just, like. I don't know. I love how long my hair is. The ends are low key. 51:27 Kieran Dead. 51:27 Julia I kind of want to chop off, like, that much. Like three inches. Yeah. Like, kind of a significant amount or. 51:33 Kieran It doesn't really matter. I just. 51:34 Julia Below average size. 51:36 Kieran Size does matter. 51:37 Julia It does. 51:38 Kieran Spoon size matters. We talked about the spoon size matters. Yeah. 51:41 Julia Below average. 51:42 Kieran And I've been standing by it anyway. 51:43 Julia But I will not be cutting my bangs again. Or curtain bangs. I'm trying to grow them out because I. The hairstyles that I like doing now are more, like, are more better without bangs. Like, when I put my hair. I would rather they don't have bangs. And like, when I do, like, a professional outfit, I feel like it's easier to do if I don't have bangs because then I have to do my bangs or my bangs get freaking greasy after about two seconds. 52:06 Kieran I sweat a lot. Yeah. 52:08 Julia A lot in the gym is just not. 52:10 Kieran It's something. But I think the bangs frame my face better than how my forehead looks without them. So it's a give and a take. 52:15 Julia No, this is. I agree. Not for you. Yeah, it looks really. Yeah, you need. No, but like, on me, like, I agree. I kind of like the way the bangs look. 52:23 Kieran But at what cost? Right? 52:25 Julia The cost is too much. It's easier for me to maintain and, like, look good and put together if I don't have bangs, which is annoying because I like, I love a 70s bang moment, like, moment. I love big hair. 52:37 Kieran Oh, I do too. I recently learned how to get myself a blowout with the velcro rollers, and I have stopped. 52:42 Julia I used to do a blowout, like, every three days, but I don't have the time or the willpower to do that now. 52:49 Kieran Eat your. 52:49 Julia Eat your. 52:50 Kieran Okay, I have two more notes out. 52:51 Julia Okay. 52:52 Kieran My first is Dakota Johnson. 52:55 Julia What about her? 52:55 Kieran I love Dakota Johnson. 52:56 Julia Let me look up a picture. 52:58 Kieran I. Dakota. 53:00 Julia Right. 53:01 Kieran Dakota Johnson and Jennifer Lawrence. She's the one that did hunger games. Right? One. I need them both yesterday. 53:10 Julia Queen from 50 Shades of Gray. 53:11 Kieran Yeah. 53:12 Julia Okay. 53:12 Kieran I need them so bad, but also, like, they are so my person. I want to be everything that they are in a lot of ways. Like, I love Dakota Johnson and Jennifer Lawrence. Yeah. 53:22 Julia I was just thinking. One notes up that I would like to share is that I am lit for our. Our class on Wednesday. Oh, my gosh I need to tell you this right now. We walk into this room. Didn't know there was a freaking basement in Nelson. We walk into this room, I'm like, okay, sit down. 53:38 Kieran Baddie central. 53:41 Julia Baddie central. 53:42 Kieran She's not even kidding. 53:43 Julia Look around. 53:44 Kieran I say, there's like literally 80 kids in our class and 50 of them are men. 20 of them are baddies. 53:52 Julia The ratio is so good. Like the ratios. And I. There's this man sitting like directly in my line of sight. The professor standing behind him. So obviously I have to look right at him. He has this tattoo on his arms. I'm like, oh, that is so cool. Go up after class. I say like, hey, I love. Like, I was just, I just saw your tattoo and I really like it. And he was like, yes, ma'. Am. When I said hey. And I was like, as you should. And then, sorry. And he, I was like, what? What is it? And he's like, well, it's for my mom and it's for my sister and my dad and I have matching tattoos. And I was like, that is so precious. And then I left and I was like, you know what? Yeah, I like him. Need him. 54:25 Julia Need about every single man in that class. 54:28 Kieran So need that. So, yeah, tomorrow we're gonna be doing some rearranging of seats. 54:31 Julia Oh, we're like, we've decided to like schedule when we get there so we can wait until after the badd that down so then we can choose where. Which baddie to sit by, you know, sorry guys. 54:41 Kieran No, we each have a baddie inside that we are pining for. If anything, it's just going to be a little sight for sore eyes. 54:48 Julia It makes me actually want to go to class. So something I feel actually I lowkey. 54:52 Kieran Like actually that class, our professor is so cute. It's bus 340. Bus bus 340. The information systems, it's like the Excel stuff and we are like one weekend so it's like just learning how to like bold font. But. 55:05 Julia Well, I've already, I've. I've done all the work for four weeks in, so it's not. 55:09 Kieran Well, you've done the sim nets. You haven't done the actual assignments yet. 55:12 Julia Yeah, but yeah, that's different. The sim nets are an hour long thing that walks you through how to do all the stuff that we're doing in class. So I do know what we will be doing. And it's easy and it's fun and I love Excel. 55:23 Kieran Yeah, you're y' all oh. Oh, yes. My last. 55:30 Julia Wait, once there was a way. 55:32 Kieran Oh, okay. Yes. So my last notes app was to make sure that you're following us on the pod at twts. Did I get you? 55:39 Julia Yeah, a little bit. Okay. 55:40 Kieran Yes. Is at TWTS pod on the Instagram. Make sure to follow individual accounts that are in the bio. Like our vlogs. We're gonna be posting three times a. 55:49 Julia Week now, so Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday. 55:52 Kieran Will there be a vlog for tomorrow? I don't know yet. 55:55 Julia What's tomorrow? 55:55 Kieran Wednesday? 55:56 Julia Yeah, we'll film a little something. 55:58 Kieran I don't know. Don't worry about it. I'm worrying about it. 56:01 Julia I'm not. 56:02 Kieran Well, so. Am I missing anything? Make sure to follow personal accounts, the Instagram. Check out all of our new season two stuff. New intro just dropped. 56:09 Julia Let us know about the intro because one of my friends texted me and said I. I didn't like it. I said, oh. And I said, hey, do you have a podcast? No. So I don't want to hear it, but guys actually do. Let us know, but don't tell us if you don't like it. Just tell us that you love it. It. 56:22 Kieran Yeah, somebody told me that they don't like the old intro with the music. 56:25 Julia So what do you want me to do? 56:26 Kieran I don't know. What do you want me in this scenario? 56:28 Julia I can't win here. Like I'm doing. I have never edited anything before. I started editing this podcast and I never watched a video on how to do it. I just made it up and it appears to work. 56:36 Kieran So when you're a nationally recon or a globally recognized podcast, get back to me. Yeah, we have followers across the globe. 56:45 Julia Globe. 56:47 Kieran Kuwait, Canada, Australia. 56:50 Julia It's because I have. I have friends that are either studying abroad or live in other countries. But I appreciate you girls. And you know what? We're here to tell you the truth. 57:00 Kieran Because they don't always get it right. Bye, guys.
