Fellowship Church Middlebrook

Christmas Eve at Fellowship

December 24, 2024 • Greg Pinkner • Isaiah 60:1–21

We often strive for perfection during the Christmas season, only to realize it’s unattainable, as life is filled with imperfections and unexpected challenges. The story of Jesus’ birth is a testament to this, set in a backdrop of political upheaval, hardship, and imperfection—far from the peaceful and ideal scenario we might imagine for the arrival of the Savior. Yet, the beauty of Christmas lies in the promise of God’s presence with us, even in our brokenness and imperfection, offering hope and light amid darkness. The prophetic words of Isaiah remind us of a future where God’s everlasting light and glory will make everything whole, a day when mourning will end, and righteousness will reign. Until then, Christmas serves as a glimpse of this ultimate redemption, reminding us of God’s enduring presence and the hope of what is to come.
