Wendy Sjaardema is a CACHE certified Newborn Care Specialist, Master NCS® and a seasoned nanny with over 15 years of professional experience. After years working in the industry and networking with nannies from all over the world, she recognized the need for targeted coaching for caregivers in the areas of interviewing, effective communication, setting healthy boundaries and resolving conflict professionally to promote healthy employment relationships.

From this need she developed her consulting company, Nanny Consults, to work side by side with nannies, newborn care specialists, doulas and other caregivers to help them through the business side of employment relationships. Nanny Consults bridges the gap between employer and employee and offers a variety of consulting services for Caregivers including Resume and Contract Writing, Interview Coaching, Conflict Resolution, Problem Solving and General Coaching. Wendy also works alongside domestic employers advocating for nannies in the areas of legal pay, benefits and setting clear and appropriate expectations in a nanny/employer relationship.

In her personal life, Wendy resides in Denver, Colorado and is passionate about traveling the world, exploring the depths of the oceans while scuba diving, pairing wine with gourmet home-cooked meals and experiencing all the joys life has to offer. She takes "work hard, play hard" to heart and prioritizes self-care and adventure alongside her entrepreneurial endeavors.
