Sleep is a critical function that contributes significantly to our physical and emotional health as well as our overall quality of life. Many individuals with disabilities (for instance, those recovering from traumatic brain injury) may have increased problems with sleep.
Show Notes
Consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on society can interfere with sleep in a variety of ways, making existing issues more difficult for people with disabilities and/or bringing about new challenges. Listen as Dr. Erica Weber interviews neuropsychologist Dr. Anthony Lequerica, senior research scientist at Kessler Foundation, and an expert in sleep disturbances after brain injury, about the importance of quality sleep and how to maintain proper sleep hygiene during this stressful time.

What is Traumatic Brain Injury Research?
After traumatic brain injury (TBI), life changes forever for individuals and families. Through research, we develop new ways to help individuals recover cognitive function and mobility, and equip families and caregivers with the long-term support they need to adjust to living with brain injury.
