वास्तविकः आनन्दः

कदाचित् अमेरिकादेशे वेदान्तविचारप्राचारसमये काचित् पुत्रशोकम् अनुभवन्ती माता स्वामिनं रामतीर्थं दृष्ट्वा विलुप्तस्य आनन्दस्य पुनःप्राप्तेः मार्गं यदा अपृच्छत् तदा स्वामी समीपस्थम् अनाथबालकं दर्शयन् तं स्वपुत्रं मत्वा पालयेत् इति उक्तवान् । तद्विषये सुदीर्घायाः चर्चायाः अनन्तरं सा महिला अङ्गीकृतवती आनन्दमपि प्राप्तवती । निर्धनानाम् अनाथानां च सेवातः एव वास्तविकः आनन्दः प्राप्येत इति अवगतवती च ।

During the period of teaching Vedanta in America, a mother, who was grieving the loss of her son, asked Swami Ramateertha for advice on how to find joy again. Swami showed her an orphaned child nearby and advised her to adopt and care for him, saying, 'Take him as your son and raise him’. After a long discussion, the woman adopted the orphan and found joy. She also understood that true happiness comes from serving the poor and the orphaned.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
