जगद्देवः इति कश्चन राजा प्रभूतां सम्पत्तिं सम्पादयितुं सर्वदा युद्धे रतः भवति । जगत् एव जेतव्यम् इति तस्य इच्छा । कदाचित् कश्चन संन्यासी आगत्य सुन्दरैः उदाहरणैः राजानं दर्शयति यत् कथं समग्रा भूमिः सम्पत्तिः वा भोक्तुं न शक्यते । अपि च जगदेव जेतव्यमिति मूर्खता अस्ति । राज्ञः आद्य कर्तव्यं भवति यत् जनानां शन्तिं, समृद्धिं, सुखं च चिन्तयेत् ।  तदनन्तरं राजा युद्धादिप्रयासं स्थगयित्वा शासनकार्येषु अवधानवान् जातः ।

There was a king named Jagaddeva who was always focused on fighting wars to gain wealth and power. His goal was to conquer the whole world. One day, a wise sage visited him and used simple examples to show the king that it's impossible to enjoy all the land or wealth. The sage also told him that wanting to conquer the world was foolishness. He reminded the king that his main responsibility was to ensure the peace, prosperity, and happiness of his people. After this, the king stopped his wars and started focusing on ruling wisely.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
