चीनादेशे शिष्योकिनामकस्य कस्यचित् युवकस्य स्वप्ने काचित् देवी आगत्य - ‘'हवाङ्गो' नद्याः तीरे कस्माच्चित् प्रभूतं सुवर्णं लप्स्यते' इति अवदत् । अपरदिने आदिनं प्रतीक्षायां कृतायामपि शिष्योकिना किमपि न प्राप्तम् । पुनः देव्या उक्ते सति सः गत्वा आदिनं प्रतीक्षां कृतवान् किन्तु किमपि न लब्धम् । यदा ततः निर्गन्तुम् उद्यतः तत्रैव विद्यमानः शाकविक्रेता तस्य आगमनस्य कारणं पृच्छति । स्वप्नवृतान्तं यदा अश्रावयत् शिष्योकिः तदा सः हसन् 'एतादृशेषु विषयेषु मा विश्वसितु। मम स्वप्ने अपि देवी आगत्य शिष्योकिनामकस्य गृहस्य पुरतः स्थितस्य वृक्षस्य अधः प्रभूतं सुवर्णम् अस्ति' इति अवदत् । अग्रे किं जातमिति भवन्तः एव ऊहां कर्तुं शक्नुवन्ति खलु ?

In China, a young man named Shisyokin had a dream in which a goddess appeared and told him that he would find a large amount of gold on the banks of the "Hwang Ho" river. The next day, despite waiting all day, Shisyokin found nothing. When the goddess appeared again in his dream, he went and waited again, but still found nothing. When he was about to leave, a vegetable seller there asked him why he had come. When Shisyokin narrated his dream, the seller laughed and said, "Do not believe in such things. In my dream, too, the goddess came and said that there is a large amount of gold under the tree in front of a house belonging to a man named Shisyokin." Can you guess what happened next?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
