Blood Diner-The First Half. Archie Fruber, young reporter is looking for a big story with the Huron City Bugler that will take him into the big league away from his home town. But all the best stories go to Dennis Blaine, senior reporter and all round rotten cabbage. And when Archie gets a tip about a big story involving potential Vampires in the heart of Huron City, who is doing their best to put him off the scent? None other than Dennis Blaine himself.

Archie Fruber is desperate for a big break to get him to a big city newspaper. But the Huron City Bugler is family owned without an interest in real news. Anyway, Dennis Blaine gets all the good stories, even the one Archie found out about that involved the Mayor, a traveling butcher, one hundred thousand dollars and a llama named Lucille.

So when Archie gets a tip off from the mysterious Bella that there may be a real Vampire in the role-playing vampire society of the Blood Sorrow Gathering, Archie has to investigate.

But how does he get into the Stinking Cadaver, the place where the gathering is held, and from where Archie is banned? And how is the mysterious Aurora Anderson whose name Bella gave to Archie?
