Classroom 5.0

Today, over 789 million people live and are trying to learn in regions experiencing energy poverty. Haven't heard of that term? You're not alone. Our guest today, Billie Murphy, talks about energy poverty and what it means for the millions of people living with energy poverty everyday. Billie is the general manager of Solar Buddy, an Australian charity working to improve equity in education, one solar light at a time. She and her team spend their waking hours educating schools, workplaces and communities about what energy poverty is, and equipping them with the means to become a part of the solution, by first creating and then sharing the gift of light. In conversation with Mariane, she shares both her personal and professional journey to paint a vivid picture of the joy and meaning afforded to those who work to uncover and deliver their unique potential and purpose to create change for good.
