People, Planet, Progress

The Climate Report for 3/10/22 starts off with some brief Ukraine-related climate and energy-related news, before taking listeners to the Amazon, and then we talk about “The Jump”: the newest global action movement based on research showing how individuals can make six climate action pledges and reduce global emissions by 25% immediately.

The six pledges are:

- eat mostly plants and don’t waste food

- buy no more than three pieces of new clothing per year

- keep electrical products for at least seven years

- fly as little as possible

- drive as little as possible/get rid of car

- take one other “nudge” action like green energy, insulation, change banks, etc
