Diane Ping helps us learn about the body's response to certain foods. She also talks about how diet can help or make worse conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, certain cancers, and osteoporosis.

Brady introduces Diane Ping, and she shares how nutrition became an interest of hers and how she uses her knowledge of nutrition in her physical therapy practice even though some consider nutrition out of the scope for PTs (0:45). Diane then explains how much food you eat is absorbed in your body processes food, and the effects of the byproducts of certain foods (7:30). After that, Diane dives into how foods we eat can affect inflammation and other diseases based on how our bodies produce hormones and absorb vitamins like Vitamin D (11:45). Last, she breaks down how you can use this knowledge to create positive change in your diet and how to test diets to see if they work for you (30:12).
