About the day 

Celebrating women through open access research 

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Today we celebrate by highlighting open access research articles and blog posts covering women in all fields of social science.
