About Charmed (1998)

After Buffy The Vampire Slayer moved to UPN in the late 1990s, The WB network was looking for a magical replacement, so they turned to Aaron Spelling and Spelling Television and they came up with Charmed, a series about 3 sistes who discover they’re The Charmed Ones, three women who were prophesied to be the strongest witches ever. While the series was immensely successful, there was trouble behind the scenes between Shannon Doherty and Alyssa Milano.

About Charmed (2018)

CBS tried to reboot Charmed in 2013, but the script never got filmed. However, in 2018 the CW network decided to go ahead with a new pilot that would air 20 years to the day after the original series. The new series is set in a new fictional town and focuses on women of color with a heavy focus on feminism. The reboot has been met with much skepticism from the original show’s cast.
