out of the classroom and took on a coordinator role, so we won what was called the Title VII grant at the time, which was meant to help English learners develop their English
language skills, so I ran the computer lab where the students would come into our computer labs on a, several times per week, and we teach them language lessons and so on.

this concept of Adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators, which is a totally abstract concept for fifth graders to understand.

So I met with her, went to the classroom and thought about how can we teach this concept in a way that actually makes sense to them?
