Saul is told to carry out Yahweh's judgement on the Amalekites, but pridefully doesn't follow instructions. Then Saul makes excuses for that and blames the people of Israel, his subjects, for not doing things right. He sets up a monument to himself after the battle. Samuel confronts Saul, prophecies that Saul will be replaced with a better man, and cuts Agag to pieces. Read from the World English Bible.
