Moral perception is awareness of the morally relevant features of the world. Many things can get in the way of perceiving the morally salient features of a given situation, our history, our culture, our biases--even being in a hurry. In this episode, we talk about how we consider this important aspect of morality.

Guests include senior US Navy and Marine Corp officers who draw on their experience to when discussing topics that are relevant to ethical, philosophical and legal dilemmas that they have faced in the course of their careers. Midshipmen as well as Junior Officers are particularly encouraged to listen.
Ethics and the Naval Warrior is hosted by Michael Sears, a 1978 USNA grad. Michael spent 5 years in the Marine Corps and then earned a JD/MBA from Stanford University. He then went on to a successful career in several prominent Silicon Valley companies. He is now Director of the Boeing Innovation Lab at the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership at the Naval Academy.
