Show Notes

The Stars of tomorrow are discovered here, Every Thursday former NHL GM, Stanley Cup Champion and Director of Scouting with TSN, Craig Button and I explore prospects for the NHL Draft. From Top Shelf Talent to The Next Wave to Time Machine and more.

In Time Machine on Tracking the Draft, former NHL GM and current Director of Scouting for TSN Craig Button tells a story regarding a past player and the NHL Draft while relating it to a player in this year's draft prospect pool. They could be Top 40 or beyond on the Craig's List.  Brendan Brisson is #22 on Craig's List and Button took a trip back in time to compare him to a guy taken just outside of the first round who has a Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup on his mantle. Brisson has had a chance to model his game after actual stars he meets as his father is NHL super agent Pat Brisson. We also raced ahead to look at the 2021 draft with Zachary L'Heureux who was a big piece of a QMJHL trade last year and will be a centrepiece in Halifax next year.
