Revering the Word

Saul’s life, that of the first King, came to a tragic end due to his unfaithfulness. Originally God wanted people and the king to worship Him and Him alone. When they didn’t they were judged.

Today, I am both thankful for and sad about America’s constitution. It has in it the glorious freedom to worship God but also the plurality of worshipping whatever or whomever you want. When God set up a government He did not set it up endorsing a plurality of worship.

It is a complicated matter as in the past when the government established a religion that too was a problem which led to America. Yet the solution in our constitution has not created a Godly culture.

It is important to use our freedom to worship Jesus.
