The Power of the Word

Genesis 1:1-3


God puts a stamp on His Word in the very beginning, not introducing what was said or thought to begin with, but introducing Himself as the beginning.

Acts 17:28 

‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

By knowing the WHO, we know the WHAT, the HOW, and the WHY.

Amos 3:3

Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?

The earth was a canvas - undefinable, a mess.

Matthew 11:28-30


Nothing happens that we can see until the Word is spoken.

John 1:1-13

Isaiah 55:11

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

The responsibility we have:

God is not desiring just your LIFE, but your LIFESTYLE.

Application is not enough - it has to go from application to DEFINITION.

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
