Today on The Live Tap Podcast, I sit down with Arkansas-Pine Bluff Women’s Basketball stars and Preseason All-SWAC selections Indiya Bowen and Khaniah Gardner to discuss their basketball journeys, the experiences that shaped them into the players they are today, and how their paths ultimately led them to becoming teammates at UAPB.
Coming off a heartbreaking Final Four loss last season, the two seniors share the motivation, mindset, and determination driving them as they prepare for their final year of college basketball. With unfinished business on their minds, Indiya and Khaniah discuss what it will take to turn last season’s disappointment into championship success.
We also dive into the expectations surrounding the Lady Lions this season, with Indiya earning SWAC Preseason Player of the Year honors and Khaniah receiving Preseason All-SWAC recognition. From embracing individual accolades to carrying the weight of conference expectations, we explore how these two leaders plan to elevate their games, lead their teammates, and chase the ultimate goal of bringing a championship back to Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
