The Shortfalls

In this episode of The Shortfalls podcast Jaiden Martin and Bradley Richards go over the career and life story of Johnny Manziel. Johnny Manziel was a college football prodigy who was nicknamed 'johnny football' because of his amazing on field performance during his college football career.

But despite his passion for the game, the off field antics of partying and selling signatures and pictures of himself which was illegal during the time of his career eventually laid the foundation for his downfall shortly after being brought into the NFL.

In this episode we also interview Rocky Peterson, a defensive back in the CJFL for the Ottawa Sooners who told us about his take on Johnny Manziel and what he thinks of him as a player.

This is, The Shortfalls!

What is The Shortfalls?

We cover the stories of professional athletes whose careers were short-lived doing deep dives into their life stories from their early rise and history in the sport, the time they spend in the professional league, and what led to their downfalls.

Our podcast isn’t focused on any one sport or any lasting popularity of athletes that fell short of their potential. Instead, we like to provide informative episodes on a wide range of athletes, some who may be well-known and some who may be underreported, but our goal is to teach our listeners something new regardless of who is the subject of our podcast.

If you are a sports fan who is interested in hearing more about the pressures athletes face in the professional league whether it be physical or mental that can sometimes be too much to bear, then we are for you.
