Kelley Blue Book reports the average EV price is now $66,000. That’s compared to $48,000 for a traditional vehicle. More choices wouldn’t hurt either. Ford has climbed up on Tesla’s bumper on the strength of the Mach-E. While many expect GM will catch Tesla by mid-decade, they’re still sitting in the 5th position behind Hyundai. Could VW play the spoiler as an affordable choice? Assembly of electric ID.4’s began today at a new plant in Tennessee. The plan is to crank out 7000 a month with a $36,000 base price.
