अनन्यशरणता

कदाचित् केचन दुष्टाः एकतन्त्रीं वादयन्तं कृष्णस्य परमभक्तं पाषाणैः प्रहरन्तः आसन् । प्रहारजन्यां वेदनाम् असहमानः सः भक्तः कृष्णस्य रक्षणं प्रार्थितवान् ।  भक्तस्य आर्तरवं सोढुम् अशक्नुवन् कृष्णः भोजनस्य मध्ये एव उत्थाय भक्तस्य रक्षणाय प्रस्थितवान् ।  किन्तु यावत् तत्समीपं गतवान् तावता सः भक्तः पाषाणान् स्वीकृत्य तान् दुष्टान् प्रहर्तुम् उद्यतः । सः स्वस्य रक्षणं स्वयमेव विचिन्त्य योग्यम् उपायं चिन्तितवान् इति कारणतः मम किमपि कार्यं नास्ति इति विचिन्त्य कृष्णः प्रत्यागतवान् । यश्च अनन्यशरणः सन् भगवन्तं प्रार्थयेत तं तु भगवान् रक्षति ।

Once, some wicked people were attacking a devout follower of Krishna, who was playing a one-stringed instrument, with stones. Unable to bear the pain caused by the attacks, the devotee prayed to Krishna for protection. Unable to bear the devotee's cry of distress, Krishna, even in the middle of his meal, set out to protect the devotee. However, by the time he reached, the devotee had picked up the stones and was ready to strike back at the wicked people. Realizing that the devotee had thought of a suitable way to protect himself, Krishna decided there was nothing for him to do and returned. Whoever seeks refuge in the Lord alone, and prays to Him, is indeed protected by the Lord.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
