This week, authorities ordered the Israel Embassy in Singapore to take down a social media post that compared mentions of Israel and Palestine in the Quran. Ministers Shanmugam and Vivian Balakrishnan also issued strongly-worded statements in separate interviews explaining the severity of the issue.
