Stephanie Rooker was always singing in church choirs growing up. She grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, with small community festivals and talent shows. She and her family would get up there and do their numbers. This is her story.
"It's beautiful that sound is blowing up right now. Everyone's into sound baths and things of that nature, it's amazing. It's so good because we need to reconnect with ourselves in this way. We need to remember that we have this capacity to be more awake in our bodies and with each other." —Stephanie Rooker
