Welcome to the 20th episode of the Spiritually Minded Mom podcast. Today's episode is not the usual interview format. Instead, I recorded a solo episode sharing some of my thoughts about something “spiritually minded” that’s been on my mind a lot lately--ministering. In the first half of the episode, I share clips of three previous episodes with Alie Jones (episode 2), Julie Monroe (episode 8) and Noralee Jones (episode 17) that illustrate how these guests have received help from those around them. One of the best things all the guests I have interviewed have taught me is how to better serve others. And that brings us to ministering. The second half of this episode is my real thoughts about the call we received in my churchto step it up in how we serve others and to truly follow the example of Jesus Christ by ministering. I don't sugar coat my feelings and experiences. Learning to minister has been hard for me, so you'll hear my struggles. I have a long way to go, but I also share what I've learned so far. Ministering is not one-size-fits-all. We can each come to know what ministering looks like for us as individuals as we seek God's Spirit and ask Him for guidance. Show Notes I mentioned scripture cards I purchased to give away. The cards are from Courtney Casper and you can find them in her shop here. There's more than one way to be a spiritually minded woman who wants to make and keep covenants, know her Savior and make it back home. Yes, there are essential CHECKPOINTS on the covenant path, but there are NO CHECKLISTS with a million checkboxes you must check off.
Each week on the Spiritually Minded Women podcast I’ll be sharing insights about how to embrace YOUR journey on the covenant path with CHECKPOINTS instead of CHECKLISTS.
