We all want to do something significant with our lives. Sometimes porn seems insurmountable and so we wonder, "If I stay hooked on porn, will God still do great things with my life?"

God can work through anybody anytime
God works through Christians, non-Christians, donkeys, and whatever other vessel He sees fit to use. He is the one that makes things happen and we don't bear fruit for God's kingdom by doing anything apart from Him. Having said that, we can put ourselves in a position to be an open vessel where we begin to see God move through our lives more powerfully than ever. Character development is on us and getting free from porn is part of that process.
We have a role to play
God wants us to be holy as He is holy. We need to be DESPERATE about getting porn out of our life. We don't want to justify keeping porn in our lives by thinking, "God can use me anyway." This leads to protecting ourselves, lying, and trying to serve God with an attitude of performance rather than from intimacy with Him. Eventually, the guilt and shame crushes us and becomes too much to handle. Are you hiding pornography in your life and trying to appear better than you are? It's not worth it.

God loves you way too much to let you continue in sin
God does not want you to be burdened by the weight you carry when porn, secrets, shame, guilt, and more are in your life. He is much more interested in you being healthy, than you being unhealthy and yet doing things for God. He's not concerned with you doing things for Him because He is really the one doing it all anyway. He wants you healthy and free from the trap of addiction and sin.
Get free for a purpose
God doesn't want us to be free from porn, or whatever is holding us down, just to be free. He wants to propel us into a life of intimacy and significance with Him. One of the best ways to do that is to view your battle to be porn-free as a journey into discovering how to practically experience God's love as the foundation of who you are. When you do this, you'll watch the urges to watch porn while increasing effectiveness for the Kingdom of God at the same time.
