Gov. Tim Walz recently announced that Minnesota, as of latest data from March 23, is the No. 1 ranked state for percentage of vaccine distributed administered. Basically, Minnesota has delivered its vaccine supply into arms more efficiently than all other states.

The data comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and found that Minnesota has administered 88.55% of vaccine doses it has received. For about a month, the state has been among the top 10 states for percentage of vaccine doses administered.

North Dakota and New Mexico are second and third on the ranking, respectively.

 Here’s Gov. Walz.

WALZ: “As you know, we’re getting shots out. Soon everyone will be able to get them. I encourage you to get yours when it’s your time.”

According to the latest data from the Minnesota health department, more than 26% of Minnesotans, more than 1.4 million people, have received at least one vaccine dose.

More than 15% of the state’s population, or about 840,000 people, have completed their vaccine series.
