Epic Phelan

Welcome back to Season 2 of the Epic Phelan Podcast!

For this, our second episode, we welcome Colin Henthorne. Colin was born in Vancouver but grew up in BC, he has spent nearly all of his life living and working on the water, getting his first command at only twenty-one.

Colin started working with BC Ferries in 1990 and captained the vessel Queen of the North. One night back in 2006, the Queen of the North went down and Colin had to think, and act fast to secure the safety of his crew and their guests.

We take a deep dive into this life-altering experience as Colin re-lives that fateful night. Tune in for an exhilarating story of tragedy and comradery. If you are interested in this story (you will be), you can check out Colin’s book.
