Interview with Wouter de Vries

Wouter de Vries is an alumnus from the MSc Entrepreneurship at the RSM and co-founder of YourSurprise. What started out in an attic above an Omoda store in 2005, YourSurprise has become the largest online personalised gift shop. During our chat, Wouter touched upon the initial founding days of YourSurprise, why the founders (Wouter and Gerbrand) bootstrapped their business, what major pivots they made when impressively scaling their business and YourSurprise's highly entrepreneurial, family-like company culture (in the words of Wouter: ‘if you are good for the people, the people are good for you’).
