How often do we dwell on the mistakes of the past? The Alter Rebbe teaches that our capacity for teshuvah, for repentance, is boundless.  It is never too late to make amends, to choose a different path.  Even if we have made mistakes, every day is a new opportunity to return to god.  Just as god continuously bestows kindness, we too must strive for continuous improvement and remember to extend kindness, even to ourselves.
