PS - Amanda Wilkinson: curating as translation (live at the Mermaid Bray)

We talk to gallerist Amanda Wilkinson about running Amanda Wilkinson Gallery and her role in managing the estate of artist, filmmaker, author and activist Derek Jarman. Such activities involve building audiences and communities (particularly of queer and trans people) and strategies of production as processes of translation.

What is Producing Strategies?

In Producing Strategies an academic and curator talk to experts from creative spheres (including art, writing, theatre, dance) about how they produce things. We often find that when talking abour creativity things like form and content are what are mostly discussed. In Producing Strategies we consider the other work that goes on when producing things and which is sometimes overlooked.
